Well first off if your dense like I am and you don't think that the quest can be in the battleground your wrong. I went all around the Arathi Highlands trying to find the basin when low and behold it is the battleground that you leave for from Refuge Pointe.

You don't have to assault it yourself, just stand close when someone does so. And remember that the stables won't count.

Is there a bug in Arathi Basin quest? I have assaulted the mine more than 10 times. In one of them i have captured it by myself. But nothing has changed. The others are finished but mine is still uncompleted

Obviously with a preformed group your margin for success is much greater and especially if you end up against a PuG.

Thing to remember with AB is it is ALL strategy. Gear helps, but if you have 15 people who play well together your chances for success against better geared opponents are still far greater.

Some tips for winning:

Ensure your groups are even...try and have a healer, DPS, CC and Plate in each group if possible. Make group 1 heavy plate and DPS with a healer and one CC. Set your macro as follows:

/bg GRP 1 BS
/bg GRP 2 MILL
/bg GRP 3 Mine
/bg One person from group 3 grab and guard Stables (Designate this person before the BG begins)

Once you cap these for leave 2 defenders at each of the 4 nodes you have, preferably a CC and a melee and send the rest to farm. Once the farm is capped run the graveyard and keep them in their gates.

Obviously this will only happen when everyone listens and does their job. But the strategy is sound. When going against another preformed group you may set the groups differently. Make 5 groups by dividing up groups 1,2 and 3.

Place 2 people only into groups 3 and 4 and the last person into group 5. Set your macro as follows:

/bg Groups 1 and 3 Blacksmith
/bg Groups 2 and 4 Lumbermill
/bg Group 5 Cap and guard Stables.

This is know as a 7 and 7. You send heavy reinforcements to the Smith and the mill with the hopes of taking one or the other. If either node looks takeable at anytime have the rezzers reinforce that node as well as have 1 or 2 (Designated by name) head to the mine for your 3rd node.

Yes, I know this is a bit much, but it is merely strategy to help complete your quests as well as gain some honor and advantage.
