Description

Venomtails are some of the deadliest scorpids in Durotar. It was unwise for Rhinag to hunt them without having some of the antidote with him, but right now, chastising is the last thing he needs.

Bring me a few venomtail poison sacs from any of the venomtails near the entrance of Orgrimmar and I'll make an antidote for him.

Finishing this quest gives you no exp, rep or money. This is just a quest to get you the antidote for a quest called, 'Need for a Cure.'
This quest is also repeatable, just in case you lost the antidote.

Easiest way to complete quest. Pickup Need the cure from Rhinag. Then go get Finding the Antidote from Kor'Ghan. When you have the quest from Kor'Ghan, Abandon Need the Cure it will stop your timer and you can still get the venom sacs. When you have all your venom sac's just pick up Need the Cure from Rhinag and finish both quests.. Easy as pie. :)

Drop rate is horrible, 8 kills for 1 but there is not alot of the scorpids

As a level 9 Orc Rogue, I got all 4 venom sacs in 5 scorpid kills, and it only took me 3 minutes to get all the venom sacs!&nbsp Rhinag is located at 41,18 between two rocks, which is northwest of the NPC Rezlak.&nbsp Kor'Ghan is located in Orgrimmar, in the Cleft of Shadow on the left side near a hut.&nbsp You have to accept another quest from him in order to complete the Need for a Cure quest.

How to complete (Quest #813):
  1. accept quest /way 47,08, 53,42 Kor'ghan
  2. go to Durotar /way 39,76, 16,88
  3. kill (NPC #3127) for drop 4x Venomtail Poison Sac (37% drop rate)
  4. return quest /way 47,08, 53,42 Kor'ghan
Note: you will receive Venomtail Antidote, item to complete (Quest #812) in Durotar

Very simple yet rewarding quest. Just kill the Venomtail Scorpids by the poisoned NPC in the rocks. Drop rate is surprisingly high.

Took me 10 kills to obtain all four Venomtail Poison Sac's So the droprate is good..

Before you can start this quest you must start this quest:
https://classicdb.ch/?quest=812 (Need for a Cure)

This quest is a part of the "Need for a Cure" quest
and you need to finish this quest to finish that one.

This Quest NPC (Kor'Ghan) is located in the Cleft of Shadow in Orgrimmar (Opposite side of Wand Merchant & Staff Merchant) in a tent there.

The "Need for a Cure" Quest NPC is located east of the Orgrimmar Gate in a stone formation there.

It's part of a chain quest on a 45 minute timer. You have to get an antidoe for Rhinrag, must be an error for thott. You can find Rhinrag right outside of Orgimmar within an outcropping of rocks southwest of the entrance.

After I dropped the quest, I realized I still had Finding the Antidote. So I found some Venomtail Scorpids and hopped on over.. drop rate was great! Turns out that without the timer, I can think about my target!

I finished it with 27 to spare. Garbage shield, worthless leather for a Warrior. At least it was worth 150 reputation with Darkspear and Orgrimmar. It only took me 7 scorpids to get all the venom.
