Honoring a Hero

Travel to Grom's Monument in the Demon Fall Canyon of Ashenvale and use Grom's Tribute at the base of the monument. Return to Javnir Nashak outside Orgrimmar before the Harvest Festival is over.
Provided Item:
Grom's Tribute

Description

During the Harvest Festival of Azeroth, we give thanks to heroes for the sacrifices - in some cases ultimate sacrifices - they have given on our behalf. The Horde acknowledges many heroes, but none exemplify strength and sacrifice more than Grom Hellscream.

Help us honor Grom by taking this offering to his monument in the Demon Fall Canyon of Ashenvale. Place it at the base, and then return to me. I'll only be here through the end of the festival, so waste no time in giving Grom his tribute.

For those who haven't found it - it's in Demon Fall Canyon.&nbsp This is a hanging valley system that starts at the southern end of the Felfire Hill area.&nbsp Just go into the canyon, and take the first right - the monument is right there.

If you don't know where Felfire Hill is, start at Splintertree Post.&nbsp Note on your map at Splintertree that there is a fork in the road just southeast of the town proper.&nbsp Take the southern fork, and you'll run across this bridge into demon-infested forest eventually.&nbsp Where the road bends sharply north, head directly south-southeast and you'll hit the canyon entry.

The mobs top out at 30, and there are roving packs of legion hounds (level 29 - 5 of them).

For the guy that asked what "SE" is, that is "southeast".&nbsp Good luck.

At this time this particular quest will be attainable but uncompletable by both Blood Elf and Draenei. The quest has not yet been updated by Blizzard to include the new races. According to a GM this is a known issue and will hopefully be resolved soon.

Southeast corner of ashenvale, look for the grey stone ravine leading south with demons patrolling it. Go into the ravine, bear right at the fork and the monument is a large slab of stone in a dead-end. Mobs were around 30th level.

The highest level mob you will encounter on the road to the shrine is 30 and they are not grouped.

easy quest for level 30 and above. there are a few wandering mobs in the area about 29-30, but you can either dodge most of them or fight your way through. anyone over 40 should be able to just walk right in. the quest level says 60 in your log, but i think thats just so it shows up for everyone.

oh, and its worth lots of reputation :)

Would have been nice if they gave casters a "Bounty of the Harvest" that summons the Harvest Nectar drink instead of the Harvest Fruit. Now that this is over, there's no where to buy the Harvest Nectar drink.

With 9k mana buffed in MC, I have to drink 2 conjured crystal water to get full mana. Since the nectar drink stacks with regular conjured water, it only takes 30 sec to get full mana instead of 60 sec.

At least put in a side quest Blizzard, so us casters that have this thing rotting in our bank, can do a turn in and get the summoning drink one. Still, it's kind of pointless. 4 foods with a 24hr refresh? Starting to think Blizzard only levels characters up to level 40 to experience higher end gaming.

Easy 6600XP/200REP Darkspear Trolls (why not ORG?).

Rogues: It's quite possible to stealth all the way through this to the monument and take out the one baddie that wanders near it. Mobs are all within 28-30 range, no problem right? -)

Pretty easy, given Kelston's directions. Just got lvl 30 yesterday, and solo'd this quest today when I went to the harvest fest, maybe 15 minutes and 4 kills on the way in, and 3 on the way out. This is a shaman character, didn't even use a totem.

This was easy! The quest area is SE of splinter tree near felfire hill (if you do't see the ccords, look for the road that looks lke th etop of a fish hook). I did it as a lvl 34 shammy in ghost form. attackd by a succubis lvl 30 kept running. there was a elemental at the shrine but he never came near me and I stoned back to org. easy 6600xps.
