Seek out Sanath Lim-yo and gain passage to see Archmage Xylem.

Description

Archmage Xylem has been asking around lately... for someone of your experience.

If you wish to seek him out, you can find him in Azshara. His tower is built high atop the cliffs, and the only way up is a teleport spell invoked by his arrogant servant, Sanath Lim-yo.

Sanath makes camp below his master's tower. To find him, travel to where Azshara's main road forks at the entrance to the Ruins of Eldarath. From that spot, head directly north until you reach the cliffs.

Mage trainers give you this quest at 50. I believe any trainer in any capital will have it, not positive though.

To get to Azshara travel to Astranaar in Ashenvale and take the road all the way east. Then go to where the road forks and head north. The tloc is 28,50. Speak to the person there and they will teleport you to 26,47. Follow the path to the tower and up to the top. No elites, no mobs at all.

Oh, and once you teleport to the top of the cliff the quest is technically done so don't be suprised when it's not in your log book. You can teleport up and down as much as you like.

the real ones are 28,50 for the teleport, then you have to kill some blood elves.&nbsp I will post the general area when i find it.

28 50 is the correct location.

once teleported. follow *road* to top. there is a tower. go up... and ull find a quest giver.

he will give you "[52] Magic Dust"

Talk to Sanath and he will teleport you to the cliffs above. Just ride or walk up the trail to the tower. Xylem waits at the top. Enjoy!

To the above poster, were you mounted when you turned the quest in? I was mounted and I did not get teleported above the cliffs like you're supposed to. I just waited until he came back and got another teleport. There's also a guy at the top I believe will teleport you back.

The Magecraft quest tells you that the Archmage Zylem is looking for someone with your skills, and that if you want to seek him, go to his apprentice.

So after you see his apprentice and get ported to the top of the hill, take the path up the mountain to the tower.

In the highest room of the tallest tower you'll find the archmage. He'll give the quest "Magic Dust".

so teleport again, hopefully no giant will re-appear (none for me)

then once you teleport, look around&nbsp for a path that leads up. Go up and at top is a tower, in the tower is a quest called 'Magic Dust'

Sanath is East of Valormok City,u will find there.talk to him and he will be teleporting u up on the cliffs.now follow the road and u will see a tower.enter it and go upstairs.up is Archmage.talk to him and u take Magic Dust quest.that`s it.Good Lock

I found him and completed that quest but when he was to tele me, he tele'ed instead. I've been waiting for about 30 mins and he has not come back.

Yeah, I'm having the same problems as all of you.. the "apprentice" is atop the mountain, but there is NO WAY to get to him.. he never ports anywhere else.&nbsp I'm currently waiting on a GM... I'll let you know what happens.

I'm having the same problems as everyone else, i'm on Hydraxis.&nbsp I tried to port with the guy but i was mounted and then he just never came back.&nbsp I'm really pissed cause i need to get my ST quest so I can start running it.

Sanath Lim-Yo is glitched on some servers after the recent patch. Instead of in the camp, he's on top of the mountain where you need to go. To fix it, petition a GM and they will put him back in his normal spot in under 10 sec. Sweet.

I found Lim-Yo at, (26,47), turned in the quest, then unmounted was transported to cliff top, ran up path to top of tower and recieved next quest ,"Magic Dust". then was transported back by the guy uptop. The 52elite Cliff Stalker appeared has I arrived at bottom, but I quickly ran out of range and had no confrontation.&nbsp

oke i talked to a GM and he saw Sanath was 'broken' so he stayed up there.
i turned in the quest, the guy teled himself instead of me and now im waiting again to see him back lol. maybe hes broken again...

I am on Blood furness and have talked to a GM twice now. this NPC is deff. broken. but they wouldnt say how long it would take to fix. guess just check every day...

I got this quest at lvl 50 in under spirit rise in Thunderbluff from the mage trainer, however if you look it up it still says Org. So I am pretty much assuming you can get this quest from any of your major cities that have a mage trainer.

At lvl 50 you learn very cool stuff, for me i learned my last portal which is to TB. And since i'm an Undead Fire Mage I learned Dragon's Breath when doing my talent point. It's a very cool spell, instant cast but has a 20 sec cool down but does some good damage, can't wait to combined Dragon's Breath with Combustion.. ohhh the crits will be sweet

When you get teleported up to the cliffs, run further north untill you reach a tower. Run up and you find him. You get a quest on getting 10 Glittering Dust from Blood Elvs. The Dust drop from the elves, that can be found at Thalassian Base Camp, Northeast of Azshara. Dont drop so often. So I would say like 35% drop chanse. 5100 exp @ lvl 54.

Follow up quest..

Need to gather 6 Enchanted Coral. They drop on Spitlash Sirens in Ruins of Eldarath, and to the Beach. Southeast from the Archmage's cliff. Low drop rate on these aswell. 5100 exp @ lvl 54.
