Description

Take a look around you. The ruins and beaches are overrun with spitelash. Recently, the wretched creatures have learned to recognize the rare components indigenous to Azshara.

Specifically, I speak of enchanted coral -- they are drawn to it by reasons unknown to me. Now there is little coral left in the bay, and it is vital to my research. I need you to separate some enchanted coral from the spitelash sirens and bring it to me.

35,55 is the ruins.

They randomly spawn around there. A good idea is to kill the Spitelash Serpents Guards and hope they respawn as Siren's.

Make sure you kill Spitelash Sirens, not Spitelash Screamers, they look the same.

Also, watch out for patroling Lingering Highbornes, they sneak up on you.

Killed 18 Sirens to get all 6 corals, so 1 in 3 drop = 33.3% droprate

Mmm mmm the Siren's Coral...oi. If you read the previous quest in this string[https://classicdb.ch/?quest=8251] I mentioned Kim'jeal the Goblin who gives you a quest to kill the Blood Elves. Well, after you turn that in you can get a quest to kill Naga...were these quests designed together? You're looking for "enchanted coral" drops off of Spitelash Sirens and "some rune" off of a spitelash. If you did the first two quests together and turned in the tools, pick up the "some rune" quest before you turn in the magic dust quest, and you can do them in tandem as well.

The Sirens you need are located near the temple when you follow the main road of Azshara to it's end. They share spawnpoints with the other naga down there, so just clear it all for quick drops. The reward for this out of ST is nuckin futz.

coral drop from the sirens at the beach

most probably there will be lots of mymirdons and few sirens, as they share spawns and all the mages doing the quest only pick out the sirens

so if u have trouble finding enough sirens, just slay a few other nagas and wait for more sirens to spawn

Just completed this quest solo as a level 54 Mage and found a great spot for the drops. I killed a total of 15 of the Sirens and got my drops. Although I must say that I got the first 5 within the first 5 kills and then took 10 more to get the rest. LOL Anyways, I found my drops at Southridge Beach or coordinates 46,65. Good luck!

As the above poster noted, mostly its just luck.

My guess on the drop rate would be somewhere in the 20-35% range.&nbsp Though I did not get any drops in the ruins, all the ones I got were from the beach.

hey if u go to Temple of Zin-Malor the drop rate in there is 100% and theres about 7 sirens in there

I found a lot of Spitelash Siren in and around the big Temple of Zin-Malor (40,52).

You can find them in a large area , but I'm quite sure the temple in the middle is the best spot.

The droprate is about 33%, so you need about 18 kills.

Took about 30mins as a lvl50 mage.

Outside the temple, I got a drop on my first siren kill, and then it took about 6 more for the second. I went inside the temple, and got 4/4 drops on siren kills.

Maybe im just lucky or blizzard has changed something but drop rate for me was just great i had to kill only 7 sirens,only one siren didnt drop:D So no need to blizzrd to boost drop rate its amazingly good:D

I went to tloc 49,65 on the beach.&nbsp Just kill the sirens got exactly 50% drop rate.&nbsp Good stuff.

I didn't mind doing this quest at all. throughout the grinding, I got most of my quest items within the first 30-45 minutes along with 2 iridescent pearls, 1 black pearl and a blue. The drops are great considering I got another 2 black pearls and a green drop.

This quest is not that hard, i completed it at lvl 51 fire spec, it took me 16 kills to get all 6 of the coral. the cords 37,55 in the middle of that ruins is a large amount of the sirens. Best of luck to the up-coming mages.

I just killed all the spitelash sirens in the middle of the ruins of eldorath(37,53).&nbsp The drop rate was meh, I would say about 30%.

You don't have to go to the beach to get the Siren's. Thereare quite a few roaming around in the Ruins of Eldarath. I got my 6 at around 35,56 area. Just walked around with my 50 mage and killed them... A warrior here and there to boot...

There are sirens around 35,54. Its in the lower levels of the area. Be careful of wanderers and they have a pretty quick respawn rate. I had about a 50% drop rate. Completed it very easily as a lvl 50.

Be careful of the Cliff Walker giant as he is sometimes at the teleport site just as you get back to the ruins.&nbsp He hits pretty hard, though if you talk to the teleport guy again quickly, you should be all right.

Drop rate really terrible but around the ruins is where I was able to get em,&nbsp I killed about 30.&nbsp I noticed if you killed them FAST they had a better chance of dropping.&nbsp Was able to get in 3 in a row once.

The drop rate isn't terrible if you kill the ones on the beach or in the temple. Only the ones in the ruins seem to hardly drop them.

I had to kill 20 of these for all 6 items to drop.
average of 620 xp per kill (310 rested bonus)
5100 xp from turning in this quest
that's 17500 xp from 15 minutes work, plus I did the Arcane Runes quest given in Ironforge at the same time

Did this as a 52 Firemage. Very easy mobs, dropped in two fireballs and sometimes a scorch to finish, Droprate not supreme but good enough.
Found them all at 37.53

For those without a coordinates mod, the Spitelash Sirens are at the Ruins of Eldarath, but seem to be mostly gathered around that large white building.

My drop rate was very good (every second kill) until I got to 5/6, then I probably killed twenty before the last item dropped. :)
