I'd advise getting these weapons, most of these will last you from 51 till outland.

I'm very confused as to how you get this quest, can anyone help me out? Looked forever, but couldn't find start NPC anywhere inside or outside alterac valley.

Actually, Cold Forged Hammer at 51 is about as good as it gets if you plan on raiding as a Shaman with a 1h and Shield. I took mine to my first ZG and MC runs, until it got replaced.

I'm so confused. I want to have the Ice Barbed Spear. When I hit lvl 51 and I entered AV from out Stormwind I won. I handed in and received xp plus 2,70 gold. But the second quest I never have received. Not from that Prospector Stonehewer, not from any inside the base room inside AV. So please can some tell me how I could get this quest to kill the General?

Can you get the quest on lvl 51 juste when you can go in to Alterac Vallet?

Took me a bit to figure this out as well. It's very simple.

- Achieve level 51.
- Talk to Prospector Stonehewer who will give you "Battle of Alterac" quest. Accept it. He is right out front of the cave into AV. On the right side.
- Win an AV battle
- Go back out to Stonehewer, finish quest, he will give you 2g 70s. Talk to him again and he will let you choose your weapon.

If I knew it was this easy I would have done it *at* level 51.

You got to win an AV game to finish this, so GL to aliance ><

- I clicked every NPC in the Alterac Valley entrance, nobody has it.

You have to do the quest that requires you to win AV first. After you turn that in you can immediately talk to the guy again and get your reward.

What about if you have completed the Korrak quest can you get this one? I have done the korrak quest before they got rid of him, and got the bloodseeker, now can I go back and get this quest so I can get the spear

This quest is sooo bad,nothing for rogues except bloodseeker and even that is not so important.Why can't this quest have a say dagger/sword what would be a good rogue! i hate you blizzrd:(

To get the Ice Barbed Spear Talk to Prospetor Stonehewer. If he does not give you the quest just get the quest to kill the general. Go kill Horde General in AV instance then come back complete that quest then talk to Prospector again and he will give you choice of rewards.

How do you get this quest started i cant find it

This is the name of the guy that you turn the quest into, he is located in the main hall with the general. You can complete this quest after winning an Alterac Valley battle ground without talking to this guy first. After battle ground is finish if you can get back into the battle ground you can still turn in this quest for the item of your choice.

you have to be 51 to do this quest i got my ice barbed spear on my warrior at 51 and the cold forged hammer at 52 on my shaman this quest all you have to do is get it from the commander room theres a guy there and then kill the enemy boss drek thar or what's his name commander coolforge somethin like that and go turn it in outside the BG entrance

This quest is a must for any hunter, warrior, and paladin retribution specced. The polearm is probably better then any pre-raid weapons you can get.
I have been using this polearm since level 51, and have had demonslaying, and fiery enchantments on it, no glow though, because it already has a blue glow.

Right now i am working on my grand marshal two hander, sword or mace probably. I am just going to ignore the unstoppable force, as the gm sword is a better upgrade from unstoppable force, then the unstoppable force is form the ice barbed spear.

About the other quest rewards, some hunters go for the crossbow, but the polearm is the most popular.
The wand would probably be a good upgrade from whatever you had from before, but thats one area im not too experienced in (yet)
The one hander would be a good weapon for holy spec paladin, druid or shaman, and mabye even priest, but there are better healer weapons at this level.

warlock reward? no sorry you guys get a upgrade from lvl 60 corruption to lvl 65 corruption. it adds 80 damage.
