Place the Rotten Eggs in the main brew keg located inside the Southshore Inn.

Description

The humans of Southshore love their ale, and as such they prize the ale served at the Southshore Inn. With the chaos of Hallow's End now upon them, we can use it to ruin their latest batch of beverages for weeks - if not months to come!

Take these rotten eggs and place them in the main brew keg inside the Southshore Inn. Your presence alone will cause strife, so be prepared to defend yourself!

Once you've given Southshore a taste they'll not soon forget, return to me here at the festival!

Once you enter the inn, you'll see a pyramid of kegs near the stairs going to the second floor. Simply clicking on the keg is enough to complete the quest it doesn't function like a chest where you have to wait 5 seconds.

The 2006 rotten eggs quest seems to be bugged. I can highlight the top barrel behind the innkeeper, but it's not clickable. Neither are the eggs in my inventory. Several others reported having the same problem.

Yeah I stealthed in and tried but it wont let me click or use the eggs. the barrel will highligh but thats it. The barrel is by the steps going up top one on pile fyi.

This quest is pretty much a waste of time.&nbsp The barrel however, is behind the innkeeper.&nbsp Not behind the bartender, or downstairs in the basement like you would expect a master brew keg to be, but on top of a stack of five barrels behind the innkeeper.&nbsp There will be guards and plenty of alliance waiting to kill you when you approach, so be prepared to die. The quest reward is a mixed bag, you will get some additional costume charges, but the +100 reputation to horde helps a bit.&nbsp

Removed all gear and body hopped Naked...completed quests and no Durability loss.

Additional Notes:
Approach the town from the west side. You can avoid the guards to the edge of the buildings. Then zerg into the inn however best fits your class and die in the middle. The keg you want is the top one in a triangular stack behind the inkeeper. Rez there and shield yourself long enough to complete the quest (make sure you have quest text turned to quick text). Rez again with the spirit healer and head back to UC.

Another easier way of doing this, particularly if you're a rogue/druid able to sneak into the inn is to climb the stairs behind the kegs. You can stand out of sight of everyone in the Inn and click the keg through the stairs. I was able to complete this with 3 Alliance standing around in the Inn and they never knew I was there.

yea i'm having the same problem... i ran around the inn as a ghost to see if there was another barrel just incase they moved it, but couldn't find another :/

Once you in the Inn (rez or stealth)...Go up the stairs (half-way).&nbsp You can reach the keg through the floor and claim you reward while being out of sight of any locals.

Remember...Halfway up the stairs...

I unstealthed, and then opened my inventory to "use" the eggs on the keg and that seemed to work. I still have eggs in my inventory but it's saying the quest is complete. try that.

Note that clicking on the kegs will flag you on a PvE server. I ran in without attacking and the instant I clicked the kegs all the players in the inn attacked me.

I can't complete this quest. I'm a 60 rogue and have no problem getting into the Inn, and I know the stack of Keg's is near the stairs. The top barrel on the pile brightens when I hover the mouse over it, but it isn't clickable.
I've abandoned the quest and tried again. It says 'complete' as soon as I accept it even though I didn't do this quest last year. I did the 'Stink Bomb' quest today. What is up with the 'rotten Eggs' quest. Why can't I click the Keg to complete the quest?

it's bugged. We tryed it yesterday with a group. And no one of us could put the rotten eggs in the keg. We abanded the quest and took it again, and another try. No succes :-(

Strange is also that when you destroy the eggs, the quest say (PVP).

Thanks blizzard for the high repair bills for nothing!

She's easy enough to find.
West side of UC,along the road heading south to Silverpine,
Look for the giant wickerman.
(if you go there after 8pm, look for the ash pile's near the wickerman.They give you a nice 2hr buff)

This was doable, especially with the benefit of feign death, but the horrendous lag created by about 40 of each faction getting together to beat the snot out of each other hindered things more than anything else, my advice... die somewhere near the inn so you can rez right next to the kegs, and then pop, do the quest as quick as you can and hope you can run away...

Just unequip all your gear, and do a suicide run. If you die out side the inn, you can rez inside at the keg, on a little pyramid of kegs. It isn't a cast, just a quest complete, so just turn on instant quest text, and you'll get the the quest done. Then do a suicide run out into the water. Really easy, and great rep reward.
