Hezrul Bloodmark

Bring Hezrul's Head to Regthar Deathgate, west of the Crossroads.
Hezrul's Head

Description

Hezrul Bloodmark is the leader of the Kolkar centaurs in the Barrens. He is fierce, brutal and cunning. Defeating him would disrupt and fracture the Kolkars, greatly reducing their threat to us.

So kill him. As with Barak and Verog, bring me Hezrul's Head.

He leads his people from the Lushwater Oasis, to the south.

He wanders near the edge of the water in a clockwise pattern. No need to wait if you just follow the edge of the water and walk around.

Unlike the previous Kolkar leaders, Hezrul does not spawn in a camp. Instead he spawns around the oasis itself and wanders it with 2 level 15 Bloodchargers flanking him. Wander the oasis itself, killing Kolkars and you will run into him.

You should probably kill the two Bloodchargers first. I completed this quest when I was a level 20 Orc Shaman. I killed one Bloodcharger with Lightning Bolts and the other with Frost shocks and melees (you have to have enough health to withstand all the hits from the second Bloodcharger and Herzul Bloodmark). After you kill the second Bloodcharger, run into the water and cast healing waves and wait for your mana to recharge completely. Then it will be easy to kill Herzul Bloodmark by himself.

I'd like to add a few notes.

He spawns every 15 minutes at the mouth of the Wailing caverns, as posted elsewhere, and wanders in a clockwise direction.

His adds cast a 10 second corruption spell, which is about 10 dmg/tick.

he has about 459 hp, and hits hard. I'd suggest some potions.

The raid target icons work well here if you die... just mark him and his adds, so if he kills you, he can be found again.

He can run through the north pool! Do not run away thinking he won't follow. The south pool has aggro turtles, so watch the adds.

Level 19 warrior.. i ran right around 46,37 till i saw him spawn right infront of the cave entrance to WC. Charged in, killed the named, took the loots, hamstringed his friends and made it out of combat with 25 health.

He takes forever to find. Or at least he did for me. Just wander around the Lush Oasis for a bit and he should pop up with his cronies. I was a lvl 22 mage when I first met him. It took me a couple trys, but I just used Blink to get away fast and then went back and tried again, so that I wouldn't have to wait forever like before. But yeah, it gets frustrating, but just keep wandering, you should find him all in good time :)

insanely easy for a lvl 19 rogue. Once I spotted him, i just waited for Herzul and his ontourage to get to an area clear of adds, and then sapped Herzul. I took out his buddies, and then broke sap to take out Herzul.

Soloed this a lvl 18 troll rouge after a long serach and a death. If you want to do it faster and not die then follow this:

He wanders around in a clockwise route with two 15 bloodchargers visting the tents and WC mouth. Circle the osias in a anti clockwise root visting each of the tents and you should run into him. Pick your place to attack carefuly. You don't want to be near the other Bloodchargers. Attack his escort first and kill one then the other if you can. If you get low on health run away (i used sprint) but make certain that you don't run so far that you can't find him quickly after restoreing your health. His fallen guard does not spawn straight away so when you come back he is history.

The shout tip above is BS if it works then its just a fluke.

Wow! At first I was skeptical about the yell trick, then I decided to try it (there was nothing to lose by doing it except probably looks like a fool). And just 10 seconds later. He appeared to my right with his two lackies! I managed to kill him, but his buddies then killed me. Oh well, at least I got the head. :)

Lies! Just wait outside the Wailing Caverns and thats where they spawn. Its about 5minute respawn. As a hunter its easy even at lvl 17, but other classes may need to lvl a bit or group.

I had a huge problem with this guy. Looked around, finally found him. He was stuck(wouldn't attack or move and would evade all attacks). Thought it was me so restarted twice. So contacted a GM who told me to wait at WC as the problems being taken care of according to them... waited... and waited without a respawn.. but his buddies seemed to have no problem respawning without him. So wondered around again, target keeps picking him up but he can't be seen at all. So basically he was only made invis right now.. dunno how long it'll be before it's fixed. I've waited hours now.. so if you're on Rexxar you prolly can't even do this quest right now... :P

Solo'd him as lv 21 mage, it was very easy.

The /y technique actually "seemed" to work for me.

Initially I looked for him by running round entire oasis. Then went to the entrance of the caverns and waited 5 mins (too impatient!). I alt-tabbed to see what was said here and then immediately tried the /y and then target. I could target him instantly.

Whether it was a fluke and he had spawned seconds before I yelled or whether /y Hezrul you Coward spawned him, I'll let you make up your own minds but I reckon it's worth a punt. :)

Very tough ...well i soloed as a level 17 mage and i always forgot to do my buffs but if you polymorph the guard while you ice hexrul then use fire over and over youll kill him...you'll prolly die but you can run back.. its a short run for XR so it aint bad plus the xp is good and the item is great at a low level.

Go to the pond at 46, 41. As said before, walk around it counter clockwise to find him. If you're a hunter, make a macro like this

/target Hezrul
/cast Hunter's mark
Works on any monster you're looking for, if they're around and you don't see them. They have to be in line of sight. Puts a nice red dot on your mini map ;P

Went down very easy for 21 hunter, sent pet at Hezrul, ranged him to death, killed both adds. All 3 mobs dead, pet at 50%, I'm fine.
