Description

You are eager to explore, I can tell. I too had the lust to wander, once...

Wander, and hunt. For hunting is a Tauren's greatest honor.

If you truly wish to follow the ways of the hunter, then Melor Stonehoof can show you the path. He is in Thunder Bluff, on the Hunter's Rise.

And to show him your skill and resolve, bring him the claws of the flatland prowlers of Mulgore. They are tough and cunning -- fitting prey for a young <class> on the hunter's path.

Found most of mine North of Thunder Bluff around 40.4 / 11.9 (using Cartographer) .... rather pathetic drop rate for me however :(

Killed the last Prowler in Northern TB.You can also find some near the Praire Wolf Alphas...but thos r hard to find.

And I killed the Rake on the way..^.^.He looked so cute that I was about to go on my hunter and grab him.On Petopia they said he was a good fast-attack pet.(Yet my hunter is a lvl 24 :(...).

Kind of a slow drop rate. I found a nice little group of them around 55,23 (maybe 8-10 prowlers in a small area), near Red Rocks which is directly east of Thunder Bluff.

Did this at 24 on an undead rogue, I'm trying to catch up on all the prerequisites for James Horde leveling guide (21-30). Doing all the prequest chains I missed, so I can get in synch with the guide eventually. I started by doing random quests all over and running instances alot. Its kind of a mess now and I'm running around doing quests like these to catch up (lvl 10 quest lol). I recommend his guide though, I followed it on my mage and people in my guild are in awe how fast I level.

I went to mulgore on my 43 undead to get rep and never could get this quest. I'm a little perturbed that I was able to complete everything else, but The Hunter's Way.

Melor Stonehoof is in Hunter Rise in Thunder Bluff. Hes in the back next to the Hunter's Hall Entrance.

he was good, but recently (dont remember which patch) my hunter tamed him, has a standard 1.0 Attack Speed. even Broken Tooth is down to 2.0 now. at lvl 44 with hunter now and found King Bangalesh has 1.54 AS. a little off topic but w/e

I found the majority of the prowlers just past Thunder bluff
Head towards the lifts but stay on the low levele and wander throught the gap in the hills just past the lifts
They are at the end of the small valley which opens out to reveal an encampent of Venture Mine Co. Just past this is the Wildemane Water Well

Melor Stonehoof can be found at 50,48 in Thunder Bluff. He is on the southern "island", The Hunter Rise.

My drop rate was excellent.. got all 4 at once. Head to Red Rocks where the Bristleback Interlopers are (you get the interlopers quest from Lorekeeper Raintotem he's at 59, 25 - head there).. the Flatland Prowlers that were there all dropped claws.
