...the developers must have to make this such a pain in the butt. First of all, for all you guys above who said "lol, so easy, soloed with my lvl 13 whatever", soloing something you are 4 levels above doesn't give you bragging rights, okay? Jeez.
&nbsp &nbsp I imagine that melee classes or pet classes wouldn't have much trouble doing this at the appropriate level there are 3 mobs but they are all no more than lvl 9. I know as a rogue I could have done this easily.
However, with my mage, this was a pain, and I couldn't solo it until I hit lvl 12, even then I only managed to kill 2 of the mobs and barely managed to outrun the survivor.
So if you're a cloth wearer, take a friend or get some levels.
&nbsp &nbsp Princess does serious damage, breaks Sheep easily, and her "entourage" have rogue-like Sprint ability, making it difficult to escape them...more often than not they will run you down and kill you. Sprint-enabled pigs? rofl. seriously.
&nbsp I did it by sheeping one of her escorts (as noted, Princess was able to break my Sheep really fast on an earlier try so didn't bother with her), then frost nova, backed up and then unloaded on princess. Then I ran like hell and came back later for the collar. I'm an alchemist, which was useful b/c i needed to use a health potion, the pigs all do pretty high damage and quickly. I found The Collector quest to be an easier solo although it is higher level. Conveniently, they're in the same location, so knock yourself out.

It took more than a few tries but eventually a Mage's crowd-control comes in really handy for this fight.

I approached princess and Polymorphed her, causing her guard to come charging at me. When they were in range, I Frost Novad and backed off a litle. I then nuked the remaining guard to death and ran. The entourage mobs do not respawn immediately so with what little health I had left I ran just as Princess and her remaining piglet came charging at me. I survived and healed to full in the nearby forest.

Round two is easier, just polymorphed princess again and killed her guard quickly. I then re-polymorphed princess and healed to as much as possible before it wore off a second time. After that it was just nuke nuke nuke. Princess hits very very hard for a level 9 mob but she is soloable at 10.

If you are a Mage, it's possible to solo this at Lv10.

Frostbolt Princess since she is the one who hits the hardest. Start wanding one of the bodyguards and polymorph the other as they approach, Frost Nova them and strafe around and keep wanding them and keep them CC'ed. Might wanna carry a potion on you just incase, but this is great practice for kiting.

11 mage

The pigs move really fast by the way! Killed princess and then ran. Turned right back around to get the loot and OMG! She had already respawned! I'm not talking about coming back a min later either. I mean as soon as I was done being chased. There she was, all fat and happy right back in the middle of the pumpkin patch. So good luck if you die trying to loot after you rez! lol

So I just found someone nearby, and nicely asked them to help kill all 3. She said sure. It was over fast.

I just soloed this as a lvl 8 rogue with white vendor-bought gear.

I backstabbed her and immediately popped Evasion and just kept attacking her til she went down. I popped a Minor Health Potion, grabbed the collar and ran.

Her bodyguards gave up the chase at the edge of the pumpkin patch, and if you run west from the field you can escape without picking up Defias aggro.

i fought these as a lvl 12 paladin. i had heard about "princess" in the general chat but didn't know much more until i saw her. with my healing to help, i beat the whole crowd. princess does fight like an under-con though, so be cautious. as for doing a quest just because you got it, certainly there may be some quests you just need to get a few more levels under your belt. i got some westfall quests at level 9 and there are definitely things there i can't handle unless i'm grouped..and we all know how much people want to group in this game.

and in case people are asking, where is this farm, where is princess, etc...i know this game was created to be "easy" but really, sometimes you just need to do a little walking and you'll find it right where it should be, before giving up hopelessly. the more often i run from goldshire to east logging village and pumpkin patch, the shorter it seems. so it's really not even too far for your first trip it just might be too dangerous.

one of the defias thieves did drop a nice 1h axe for me though, so if you have some time to kill and need exp, hang around this pumpkin patch for a while. if you get the quest where you need some items from these thieves, even better. the thief house also has a treasure chest that is sooo tempting to open, so there's really a good lot of reasons to be here for a bit rather than constantly moving on and on to get to some end-game level where you will just start up another char.

Well either this is a group suggested quest, or its one of the hardest quests to get in the beginning. I tried (Lvl 9 Warlock) about 5 times with absolutely no chance. Princess is lvl 9 and her 2 bodyguards are lvl 7. Despite her level 9 appearance, I think she hits more like a lvl 11 or 12 mob. I tried to refince my technique a few times but everytime it ended the same. I either get her down to about 1/2 health before having to run back to my body or in the process of fighting the other 1 (I use fear on one of the entourage boars so its 2 on 2 with me and my demon) I don't even get a chance to hit her once. I will try again at 11 or 12 after I get my void walker.

The trick for a mage at 9 is to deal with the entourage first, one at a time. Target one of smaller pigs, cast both DOTs (presuming you are spec'd that way) and then stick the imp on it casting bolts. Run like hell and they will chase you. When the pig turns to attack your pet, re-DOT to finish it off. Recast your imp. Rinse and repeat. - Takes about 5 minutes.

Good luck

The Brackwell Farm is pretty far well East, not close to the other farms. If it seems like you've gone too far... you probably haven't. :-)

Also, there are a bunch of Defias lvl 9's around the Pumpkin Patch as well.

I've tried princess with a few alts and found her hard each time (simple in a pair or if someone takes out one of the entourage for your - but hard to solo all 3 at level 8-10). I was therefore very please to solo it with a lvl 9 mage. Here's how.

The object of this strategy is to not care about dying yourself, as long as you take princess down first.

Buff yourself first (frost armor and intellect, plus I had some oil of olaf from a previous quest - which increases armor - and slapped on a bandage.

Sheep one of the entourage. Ignore the other member of the entourage and focus on princess.

Hit her with a frost bolt, followed by a fire bolt, if you have any use your bag of marbles on her (reward from a previous quest), which reduces her hits on you by 25% and therefore dmg and disruption to your casting (I think this made a big difference). Hit her with a fire blast, continue to hit with spells and your wand (if you haven't got one at this level yet - go get one now - you will be glad you did - you can buy one cheap off the AH or get an echanter to make one for you). Watch your health and drink a lesser healing potion as your health gets low (another reward from a quest - but something you definitely need for this strategy).

I killed princess and then died a second or two later from damage done by the ignored member of the entourage. But that didn't matter, becuase I just scooted back over to the farm with my ghost, resurrected and collected the collar from princesses sparkling corpse. Job done.

Of course, this would have been much easier at lvl 10 when u get your frost nova, enabling you to trap princess and the second member of the entourage and then kite to distance. At that level you also get improved frost armor, increasing your protection.

Also, not saying this is the only method or even the best. It was slightly expensive in resources - oil of olaf, healing potion, and a bag of marbles charge, and armor repair. And of course I did die (slight dent to pride). But then again, I have tried to solo this before with a warrior, priest, rogue and paladin and none have done it at so low a level on their own.

Good luck!

Took her and her guard all at once as a level 9 warrior.

The key is to remove her guards first..and make sure you have a healing potion or two from some of those other quests right around there with you just in case.
