Tested these quests out today. The spirit bonus is +2 in all cases but it disappears when you die. I was 77, went up to 79, died, was 77 again. Sorry folks, this is not a permanent spirit bonus.

After you get the quest ''Owatanka'', You have to go or take a flight to ''Camp taurajo'' then you have to a Some one Called ''Jorn Skyseer'' standing close the Big Place with the tailroing experts and skinning experts.Finsh of the quest then u will get +2 Spirit.Ty for reading have fun playing WOW

Interestingly enough, 'Stonefur' in Taurahe comes out as Owatanka. But other things come out as the same word.. such as Barkskin and Blackpaw (Shtumani).

Like a Kodo, Owatanka wanders his own little path, but he is most easily found by traveling southeast of Taurajo, near the mountains to the east of the road.

After turning this in, I noticed the spell/level up animation Jorn cast on me, but could find no buffs. So, I went back and did this again on a different character and wrote down all of my stats beforehand. It seems that completion of this quest gives you a permanent boost of +2 to your spirit. I am now trying to track down the other two similar mobs to see if they do the same thing.

I found him about 10secs south of Camp T, barrens obviously.&nbsp 44,61 roughly

45,62 just found him again.&nbsp about a 2-5min respawn.&nbsp i killed him, ran to town finished quest, came to the site, went back out to grind and there he was again.&nbsp Nothing says easy xp like a easy lvl 24 mob and a short run to town.&nbsp Good times

When you kill the mob, he drops a tailspike.

When you move your cursor over the tailspike, you see a note that "This item begins a quest."

When you right-click the tailspike, you get offereda this quest to go talk to the NPC. The NPC is the solution to the quest and does not give the quest.

Just completed this quest but I didn't receive the rumoured +stat. Can anyone confirm this still is ingame or perhaps if it's a chance you'll get the point? Unfortunately I cashed two other similar quests (kodo and thuderhawk) before reading the suggested perma stat gain.

I killed Owatanka, but he doesn't have the quest and this is the first time I've done it.&nbsp I'm lvl 26, was hoping for some easy XP.&nbsp Thoughts?

He doesn't give the quest - look at the quest start, it's "tail" that gives the quest.

When you kill it right click the tail and you will get the quest.

Worked fine for me today (03/24/05) on Arthas. When you get to him, target him and right-click the tailspike, that should open the quest up.

This guy is part of a set of four quests you can do for Skyseer. They drop items, like the Ashenvale hunt, he won't give them to you initially. Unlike Pawne and the kodo guy, he seems to be a little bit rarer. As far as I can tell, he spawns either south of Camp Taco, or to the south-east on the other side of the road.

He isn't "rare" in the sense of dropping green loot, he has no special abilities I've seen besides shooting lizard bolt and he seems to be on a one hour respawn, or thereabouts. Once you're in this area, have a look around for him. He gets killed pretty commonly, since he's right there, but he'll usually be back up in a bit.
