You can actually do this quest and get the coin if you're horde as well. Obviously it's not easy, but I was able to corpse run my way through Ironforge to complete it.

EDIT: I would strongly recommend before you try it to put all your gear in your bank. This will allow you to spirit rez without durability loss.
