The Fall of Kel'Thuzad

Take the Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad to Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands.
The Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad
Provided Item:
The Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad

Description

The phylactery is all that remains of the master of Naxxramas. Your better judgment dictates that you destroy the phylactery, preventing the lich from ever reforming. Thankfully, you seldom listen to that internal voice of reason.

Someone at Light's Hope will pay you hugely for this artifact. Who cares if Kel'Thuzad regenerates to full power?

While the trinket reward might not be the greatest, the best reward comes first.

The quest text.

This is easily my favorite quest text in the entire game.

"Who cares if Kel'Thuzad regenerates to full power?"

I won't pretend like I know anything about fighting Archimonde and Illidan as anything besides at 70 warlock, but I know that I'd love to have this trinket until I finally get a skull of gul'dan. Why? Because there aren't "hundreds of trinkets at that level exponentially greater" than it (assuming you're fighting undead/demons). In fact, there are only 2 trinkets better than it. Hex Shrunken Head and Skull of Gul'dan.

Unless you're fighting something other than a demon or undead, this is the 3rd best trinket in the game for a warlock.

note: Eye of Magtheridon only breaks the +85 damage mark when you have 12% hit (which no BT/Hyjal raider should have) so it doesn't really count in this scenario.

Please don't "shoot" anyone who thinks this trinket is good.

This quest is gained from the item "The Phylactery of Kel'Thuzad". The item is a 100% drop off Kel'Thuzad and starts a quest for two items that increase damage done to undead/demons.

Personally, I think the trinket isn't that great for melee or casters, though it is better than quite a few trinkets while in Naxx. In my oppinion, as the others have said, it'll be great for the expansion due the large expectancy for demon mobs in Outland.

I for one think its rather dissapointing aswell, I know its to get that extra boost for The Burning Crusade, but still.
I'd rather have an insane item like the nef rewards, etc.. then a statless trinket :-/

LOL at the quest description. What happens when you turn it in? I sincerely hope who ever takes it from you smashes it good.

If not, maybe that's Blizz's "lore" reason why we keep going to Naxx and keep fighting the same baddies over & over. :p

Well ive got mine yesterday (the caster version), its been quite cheap.

Most ppl think like "why would you want this if youre done with naxx?" because you have to kill Kel'Thuzad to get this.

Anyways, killing Kel'Thuzad has been done most likely buffed... World Buffs of every kind, whole raid flasked up etc etc.

This is one of the parts helping you and your guild doing this without flasks etc.

And the demon part is quite decent vs demons in TBC aswell.

Anyways its nice to have...

and congratulations to Sunstorm again for getting his crazy Staff. May his aura be with me! xD

Question: Only one is lootable for it by a Kel'Thuzad kill, like Head of Nefarian and Onyxia or the entire raid can loot it?

This hardly seems worth it for killing Kel'. But like me, some others like to collect these items. I have over +250 attack power to undead, just cant wait to get this trinket. Saph is quite difficult >.<, Kel is even harder.

By the time you are able to get this you will have other trinkets which are 10 times better for your overall dps. Some people who've lucked out on dps trinkets should get this for use in Naxx or when farming undead. This may be more helpful in the expansion based on the types of NPCs in Outland

Kel'thuzad can be killed now. Now that's amazing because he was pretty much indestructable in wc3. Wat are they gonna do next make arthas killable? But the trinkets are pretty good i likey. But Kel'thuzad is hard to kill. You have to admit
