My level 55 paladin (armorsmith 293) get's "You do not meet the requirements for this quest" when he clicks the writ. I'm guessing you have to have a minimum rep level to begin it. Friendly perhaps?

This is one of the random quests given by Dispatch Commander Metz in exchange for a Argent Dawn Valor Token. The awards are used to buy items from the Argent Dawn; but they require a high number of the insignias.

Root quest: Craftsman's Writ.

These are the following quests that can be obtain by doing the root quest:Now that the Burning Crusade Expansion is out most people will skip these quests. It is recommended by most to skip it unless there is an item you want from an Argent Dawn vendor that requires the award(s).

Great writ since it only requires 120 Dense Stones, which are (on my server) relatively cheap and 120 Runecloth which you should've gathered by now.
