This is one of the random quests given by Dispatch Commander Metz in exchange for a Argent Dawn Valor Token. The awards are used to buy items from the Argent Dawn; but they require a high number of the insignias.

Root quest: Craftsman's Writ.

These are the following quests that can be obtain by doing the root quest:Now that the Burning Crusade Expansion is out most people will skip these quests. It is recommended by most to skip it unless there is an item you want from an Argent Dawn vendor that requires the award(s).

I got the Lightning Eeel Writ, and while fishing up my 30 Eels I also got a small pile of Plated Armorfish. I've been looking for this Writ in the AH for some time now, but I never see it. I've stopped turning in stones for Writs, so other than an AH buy I've no chance of getting this Writ. Given the high fishing skill needed, and the long fishing time needed after that, I would think that a lot of people who got this Writ for a stone would auction it. But so far, no luck. Is there any place that might show me the reward %s for each kind of Writ?

Do you get rep for this?

Another good place is in Silithus in the north eastern (forgot the cordinates) of Hive'Regal. There is a small pond at the base of a spire where no mobs path over. Just drop anchor, toss back a beer or 2 and reel em in.

For an equal amount of AD rep you should just farm mobs in the Noxious Glade. These drop Invaders Scourgestones and 10 of those get you 50 rep (25 turn-in and 25 use the honor token) and you can do this in less time. I farmed 40 tokens in less than 1 and a half for 200 honor. Also mined 12 Thorium from the three Rich Veins that spawned (no Arcane Crystals though...)

I'm currently working on this writ. It's been a gradual process, as I only like to fish for maybe 20 minutes at a time. I am at 300 fishing, have a +25 fishing skill from my fishing pole, and I use Aquadynamic Fish Attractors (+100 for 5 minutes). You need about 425 fishing skill to effectively fish for these, or you waste your time with "Your fish got away!" messages.

After 105 minutes total, I have caught just 18 Plated Armorfish, fishing at 2 locations: Lake Jademir in northern Feralas (surrouned by elite dragonkins and dragons) and at Frostfire Hot Springs in western Winterspring.

Good luck with this one! It will take some time if you want to fish instead of wait for someone to sell on AH. I haven't seen any on AH since I began (Bloodscalp US realm).
