Highest one, ignore the ones on the lower point. Try not going near the cave at the top of the mountain, a 55 elite camps ontop of it and can easily kill you. Kill about 1-2 Fire elementals at the top of the mountain and you can easily get to the hot spot easily.

I didn't have the time to read through them all and see if someone gave directions to the guy. I had found him one day on accidnet doing some quests with a friend of mine and when I went to go turn in the quest, I had no idea where to look. I have no coords program so I thougt I might help the others that also don't.

He is near the Hot Springs in the west. I started from the Refuge and rode around the edge of the crater, striahgt through everything (be careful in Terror Run, there are elite stegosauruses) to the Springs. When you get there, there are three lakes. A big one, a medium one and two tiny ones that I just count as one...go near the smallest one and he is standing 'neath a tree. Kinda hard to see cause he blends in with the green.

Onece you get the quest, go to the ridge in the center of the crater. Personally, I had fun doing this quest. I traveled 'round the edged of the Ridge and measure about three. If you ride around long enough, you will see a spikey sort of bridge that you can take to one that is higher than the others. That's the hottest one.

I have done this quest with three characters. In every case I did not have the "Instant Quest Text" switch enabled on the User Interface. For those three characters I got this quest and the next quest in the chain. For the one character that did not get this quest, but instead got the next quest in the chain, I did have the "Instant Quest Text" feature turned on. I saw it happen very fast where he was about to give me this then immediatly gave me the next part.

I do not know if this has anything to do with it, but if you are reading this in advance to talking to that NPC, I suggest you turn off the "Instant Quest Text" feature before you talk to him.

At level 53:

You gain 5650 experience.

(no coin or item reward)

Also... the 'Fire Plume Ridge Hot Spot' that was the hottest for me was at cosmos loc 49,45.

I had to take readings off 6 hot spots before the quest would complete. The hottest one was "428,000 Kraklenheit", and it's right on top of the ridge, pretty much in the center.

the path starts at 51.42 (aka the northern most point of fire ridge on the map)

starts an ends at Krakle&nbsp &nbsp he's located at 30,50

You might want to combine these two quest series, as they both start in Un'Goro and require you to travel to the same NPC up in Winterspring.

Its the one on the top of the mountain, near the Blazerunner.

The Hot Spots are firey colums you can mouse over scattered around the mountain.&nbsp The one you need is at the top of the mountain.

On north side of ridge there is a bridge that will take you directly up to the top. 50-53 brng a friend 54+ should be fairly easy but mobs do nuke for 170+

What do you need to do to enable this quest? I can't get it.

This was very easy to find. Just remember to go up the ramp on the NORTH side of the mountain and cross of the bridge. Once you reach the top bare to the right and the Hot Spot Pillar is there. Just right click on the Temperature device you were given and your done. I got this quest at L58. There might be some prerequisites, but I'm not sure. I had already done every quest I could find in Un'Goro before I found this one.

I'm a druid on Dalaran and am friendly with the entire Steamwheedle Cartel but I cannot get this quest either.&nbsp It goes straight to the New Springs quest.

*Edit:&nbsp I put in a ticket and Blizzard is aware that druids can't get this quest but do get New Springs. They're 'working on it'.&nbsp :)

Ya/ Giant rock near 50,45. comes from a bridge to the south west of that spot from ground level EASY quest. soloed with 52 hunter. killed 2 guys

wasted one hour with my druid in the lava..

On my 52 hunter i just used my pet to distract everything while i took the tempurature.

For other classes i do suggest a friend to help,

a warrior or a paladin/shaman would do good enough on their own probably

Weird humor is what for me, "hottest" spot (yes, confirm 49,45 approx) has 428 "kraklenheit degrees", but another spot has 564... Krakle create good thermometer with smart scales! -)

As a lvl 53 warrior, i grouped with a lvl 56 mage and lvl 50 druid.

Lvl 56 already had the quest so she took me to the NPC to get it(she cldnt share with me because you need to get the thermometer from the NPC)

Lvl 50 cldnt get it as he didnt meet the minimum lvl requirement.

Went to Fire Plume ridge and you have to find the proper entrance that leads to the volcano. From the ground, when you circle round, you can see a proper bridge that you can ride over into the volcano area.

And to take the temperatures, you have to run up to the phallic looking glowing red stalagmites(they stick up from the grond)and click on your thermometer to get a reading.

I spoke to him at level 52 and I didn't receive this quest when I talked to him... I got the next quest in the chain! (The New Springs)

i was a level 54 druid then, was in a group with people couple of levels lower - WE TOOK THE QUEST IN THE SAME TIME, ALL FOR THE FIRST TIME - and they got Finding the Source, while I got: "The New springs"

I was trying today get this quest but I couldn't speak to this goblin. :/

So what is the pre-quests that has to be done before this one to get it? I didn't even get the quest "New spring". Easly I can't speakt to this npc.

Have blizzard deleted this quest or what? I have some friends that have been able to do this quest neither.

did this solo as a 52 druid. Didn't kill anything. Prowled to 49,45 and got behind the spot.

Then I shapeshifted to normal and got instant targeted by the lvl 53 elemental guard. I was able to finish reading the temp between fireballs. Took 3 hit, 10% health loss. Went back into cat and jumped off the mountain (Feline Grace)

Okay. I was all over that mountain. Here are the coords I found:

My hotspot was 49,45. I was wondering if I had to check them all. I don't think so. The real hotspot completed the quest immediately.

30, 50 to find the quest giver and the hot spot was for me at 49, 45.

It's at 50, 46 right next to the big lava lake. As near as I can tell, 49 45 is in the middle of a large lava lake that hits for 500 pts of damage a tick. There is a stone thingy that you have to click next to, above the lake itself. Click below for screen shot.

This quest leads into another that has you going to speak with Donova Snowden in Winterspring. There is another quest in Un'Goro that has you going to speak with Donova. The quest is "It's a secret to everybody." You might wanna get that quest before you go to Winterspring or you will hafta make two trips. I found out the hard way.
