The Stonewrought Dam

Take the orphan to the Stonewrought Dam in Loch Modan. You should take him to the middle of the dam so he can see out over the giant waterfall.

Description

Ironforge is where all the dwarves and gnomes live. Near there is a place called Loch Modan, and the dwarves built a HUGE dam there. They say it's one of the biggest things anyone's ever made. Wow!

Could you take me to Loch Modan and see the dam there, please? I think it is the Stone... um... Stonewrench Dam? Stonewrought? It's big - that's for sure. I'd like to look out over the big waterfall. I promise I won't lean over too far!

These are one of a series of quests that are part of "Children's Week" (http://www.wowwiki.com/Children's_Week).

All that's required is that you go to the middle of the of the dam in Loch Modan and then summon the child with the provided whistle to complete the quest. For this quest, at level 21, I received 650XP.

I'm lvl 40 and I haven't seen any orphans around....

something must be worng! I finished this with my lvl 18 mage! This is only one of 7(if i remember correct) places u are supposed to take the orphan! And u only get this quest in the orphan week once a year!

There's an NPC to the North of the Cathedral (in the cathedral district) that gives away the whistle. I happened to visit the First Aid trainer and saw her on the way out.

Sorry, no clue where the Horde version is.

The orc one is in the Vally of Honour, its near the big pond where all the lil orcs are running about, the XP from each one of these mini quests are the same, 550 or 650. After you have completed all the mini quests and return it you get 2100, dependning on lvl if that counts, i was on my 28 undead rogue (so we do have feelings :-D) when i did this :-)
