Expect to spend a couple of hours doing this one, unless you bring a big and/or overpowered group with you. The mobs are level 46-50 elites, and you have to take down 80 of them total. Just work your way to the top of Jintha'alor and you will find all your mobs. You may have to backtrack in places to pick up respawns since you need so many kills.

The Soul Eaters and Blood Drinkers are on the last two levels. Soul Eaters have an ability very similar to Mana Burn, so watch out casters. Blood Drinkers tend to hit hard and often, so be ready with heals. My level 55 shaman, with about 3800 armor, was getting hit for about 150 a pop.

The Berserkers and Shadow Hunters are on the two levels preceding the Soul Eaters/Blood Drinkers. The Blood Drinkers are similar to Fury Warriors, while the Shadow Hunters will use ranged attacks unless you close to melee range. For some reason, the Hunters can also cast Shadow Word: Pain.

The quest is long but you can stack this with several other quests out of Revantusk Village. If you just make your way to the altar at the top, you'll likely end up getting about a quarter of the 80 kills you need. The trinket reward is great for all melee classes, but casters not so much. You do get over 2g for completion though, so unless you wipe a bunch you should come out ahead. Not to mention all that xp from killing 80 elite mobs.

For the record, I completed this with a 51 and 55 shaman. Easy to pull the mobs one at a time. Just watch for patrols.

Took a long time to do this one, but it was worth it. Because all 80 of the mobs that you need to kill for this quest are Elite and between level 46 and 51, we had a group of 5 to do the Vile Priestess Hexx quest, and when we finished one person left. With only about 15 of the necessary mobs killed for Job Opp, the remaining 4 people continued on to grind them out. Here's the group makeup:

49 Rogue (me)
50 Mage
49 Shaman
47 Shaman
60 Mage (who left after the Priestess)

With us four, it took about another hour and a half to do it. About 1/3 of all the mobs in Jintha'Alor are not for the quest, but you will end up having to kill them too, if you are going to be able to pull the others. Some form of crowd control is preferable, since this is basically an outdoor dungeon. Sap/Polymorph work fine. The quest rewards are nice, and make sure you have all the quests before going in. After over 2 hours in Jintha'Alor, the entire group had 5 finished Elite quests resulting in a Rare item reward and several Uncommon item rewards, plus around 40k exp. Well worth it, but make sure you have a good group.

Since 2.3 Jintha'alor has become an XP machine. I went at 51 and did this quest plus all these at the same time:

http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7861
http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7849
http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7845
http://classicdb.ch/?quest=7850

If you've done the chain, you can also complete http://classicdb.ch/?quest=4787 while you are there, but the others can all be picked up at the same time as this one.

Gobs of XP and several nice quest rewards for what really only amounts to 1/2 hour or so of grinding on easy mobs. Hex is still pretty tough, but not nearly like she was before.

Edit: forgot the Ancient Egg quest.

I did this quest recently with my recovering twink feral druid. Very, very challenging at 44, obviously. However, I highly recommend it. This was like a solo raid, I died over and over and it really pushed me to use every ability and to play as smart as possible, and of course there is a terrific reward at the end of it. I hit 45 in the middle of the quest which made a lot of the mobs orange instead of red, so my hit % improved quite a bit.

This was one of my favorite things I've done in WoW, it really felt like a cool accomplishment to do it, and it was a lot of fun.

I was drunk with power after finishing it so I gave a couple of "what the hell?" shots at the Hex-Priest...I would not recommend that, she destroyed me.

if you are SPriest as i am, do not use your shadow spell on Soul Eaters as the most powerful spell will hit them with 10-25% of its real potential, and most of the shadow spells will be resisted (Mind Flay will be resisted on 90%of the attempts). with my Mind Blast i usually hit 550 (lvl 47-48 SPriest), but on Soul Eaters it made only 100-125 damage and i had to drink a health potion to keep me alive... so don't waste the mana expensive SW:P or Devouring Plague on them as will be almost useless...

on the other hand, Holy damage hits them hard (Holy Fire hits like 150%), so get out of shadowform and put your holy spells on them!

also, the damage of Soul Bite spell they cast will be significantly lowered and resisted if you keep your shadow resistance at the maximum level you can (Shadow Protection on you is mandatory, as any other buffs and shadow resist gear)

um, it isen't really all that bad, it takes a while to get them all done, just because there's over 80 mobs to kill.&nbsp I did this and the princess hexx one at the same time.&nbsp There was me, 58 rogue, and a 55 druid.&nbsp We sap'd or stealthed by any mob that we diden't have to kill, and just stuck to the ones that counted towards quest completion.&nbsp

For the princess, I tanked, the druid healed. With a crit ambush opener, and 2 cold blood eviserates throughout the fight she fell pretty fast.&nbsp

I used crippeling II on both weapons, and tried to get in a 2 to 3 combo point rupture just before the mobs take off running.

just do a "/3 LFG for Jintha", If during normal hours you can definitely find people to group with. It took me around 10 minutes to find 3 others. A 4 person group was sufficient for this quest and the other Jintha alor quests

Its like nearly in most of the situations...

Horde gets more "useable" rewards than allies.

really can't get why they just dont give allies same trinket for similar quest
and can't get why some players even piss of players from other fraction on forums... mates... try to get grown up xD just a nice game and u'll make it a personal thing like if s.o. has been offended.

b2t:

just easy as hell to get... kill a few elites...
in a "not-boony" group it will take less than 10 minutes
(get in - punch brain out - get reward - be happy)

Anything on Alliance side in Hinterlands (or anywhere else really) that gives a comparable trinket? My 2nd trinket (PvP + some junk regen one) is crap and would like to replace it without having to go through LBRS/UBRS.

Playing as a 49 warrior with a 50 druid friend, got to the second lot of troll that you have to kill before we died. The respawn rate is tough, not too many patrols, but the trolls are hard. We were getting 47-48 elite, occasionally in pairs, thou we managed to pull in singles most times.

80 elite trolls is a hell of a lot, especially when each type is accompanied by another that you don't have to kill. The trinket does look awesome thou, and the cash/XP to be got from killing ~200 trolls isn't too shoddy either...

I did this at level 60, it took around 2 hours if I remember correctly. In the past, this quest was worth it, but with the expansion coming out this thing very well may not be worth the effort. It was all about raid DPS, and it won't be viable anymore. If you are level 60 and have some hours to do it, by all means go for it. I wouldn't recommend you make it a priority though.
