I am an admitted noob but I have a lvl 53 pally, I have had serious trouble with stun effects and this (blessing of freedom) you talk about above sounds great. but I have never seen it or heard of it before. and looking through thottbot's talent and skills sheets I still haven't been able to find it. could someone tell me where I'm missing it? It would help a ton, thank you

Edit: please disregard the above statement, after doing a little more research I found my own answer and at the same time came to the conclusion that I am as blind as a bat =)

There is no "which is better" the sets are different enought that it comes down to playing style. Even within PVP, there are two types of Paladins: the ones that heal and the ones that attack. Both have value, if they are geared properly. A paladin with the full PVP set and proper trinkets/complimentary gear can crit over 20% of the time...With a 2-hander that's nuts. Use Seal of Command (as previous poster states) and even the damage-impaired Paladin class can rip through others on offense. Especially if popping Divine Shield and burning Consecrate.

Self-healing is way overblown in PVP, most classes have ways of interupting you more often than not, so a healing Paladin in PVP is likely standing back (in support of a flag carrier for example). In those cases, I couldn't imagine life without my Chitinous legs.

The different styles are even better- or worse-applicable based on what PVP zone you're in (Warsong Gulch is better for healing paladins, for example).

So pick your poison and play the game. Stop worrying about what's better.

I say get the lightforge helm and shoulders and the pvp chest/legs/boots/gloves

I agree with both, only I would do this:

Get he PvP Chest, Legs, Hands and Feet.
Get the LF Bracers, Belt and Shoulders.
Get the Whitesoul Helm to top it off

Looks great and has it's use in both PvP and PvE.
Combine it with some nice rings/neck and trinkets and go with that till you can get epics.

This is my set because I couldn't get the full LF set dropped yet and PvP is just alot of fun

actually hunters are quite easy aswell for a pally.
Just use blessing of freedom and they wont be abel to stun you.The funny thing is that hunters dont even notice that the stuns dont work they just keep shooting stuns at me and go like wtf man!
Anywho i stun em good after i get close and theyr dead.
Maybe its not true in that case ive been fighting loads of noob hunters

Man this set is good for 1. PVP.... thats about it. Getting armor with intellect and stuff is most necessary for pallys and whoever says pallys are !@#$ u are a moron. Pallys can own any class (except mages of course :P) with any sort of gear. We may not have good HP like warriors but we can definitely own them hardcore. Just the other day i beat a lvl 60 warrior with full might gear, the lobotimizer and core hound tooth (:O warrior with daggers >.<). Looks like flaws with pallys are going to get better too with hammer of wrath coming out next patch so *!@# u noob whoever says pallys suck go play a noob class like warrior or something.

I've decided to go for these:

Reasoning:

1. Lightforge Chest has a very small droprate.

2. Getting a group for UBRS can be difficult with no guarentee of it staying together (unless its a guild run)

3. Good alternative if you don't have Lightforge at all or limited time (due to raids etc) as you can build up PVP rank at your leisure.while waiting for them.

This armor set is actually good for PVP if you have the reckoning / SoC / imp. holylight and spiritual focus build, due to the fact that using reckoning requires you to take lots of damage stamina is your friend. Also the higher amount of armor you have the better to help mitigate the incoming melee crits . Lots of mana isnt required for this build and if you need intellect go for it through rings / neck / back items. Also high strength and agility is nice to have to increase your damage with hits , which this armor set gives.

Just my 2 cps
