Compared to the rank 13 set cost (95,625 pts, same marks) this is a lot easier to grind. While leveling to 70 it doesn't really matter which set you got, so you can get this one with a lot smaller effort.

This set (or a version of it) is still actively used by the Hunters of the Hand on Bloodmyst Isle for the quest to capture Matis The Cruel.

this armor is still sold by the vendor in Champs Hall but the name has changed to Field Marshal not Lieutenant commander
