I remember Angus and Shorty from Warcraft III. Hearing them talk made me smile whenever I played the Human race.

After completing "Ammo for Rumbleshot" http://classicdb.ch/?quest=5541 stick around and listen to Angus and his fellow dwarves act out a short skit on the firing range just east of their camp. From the exclamations and text emotes of the group, you will see he is clearly a pop culture reference to Angus Young and AC/DC.

i.e.
Angus: "We're TNT..."
Shorty: "...We're dynamite!"

and as for the emotes:

"Rifleman Middlecamp shoots from the hip"

"Hey you! CATCH!"

He's the exact opposite of Shorty, he's actually taller than a average dwarf. ;)

Aptly enough, Angus is TNT, he is dynamite.
For many new WoW players the dwarven gunners/mortar crew event is their first experience with the quality of WoW scripted events, unlike the confusing, popping, warping, awkward scripts run in EQ.
