Description

I fear the ancient statuette's secrets will remain forever hidden unless you find the key to its ancient lock.

That key is a ring, the Ring of Zoram. It belonged to the rulers of this city before the waves of the Sundering drowned it.

For years the ring was lost, but the naga have recently found it.

Their leader, Ruuzel, dwells on an isle on the northern edge of Zoram. Please, <name>, retrieve the ring for me!

If they have a silver dragon around their potrait, they are named mobs. not elite. Elites have gold dragons. thats why she is so easy.. NOT ELITE...

If you get the chance, try to find Lady Vespia as she seems to drop the ring as well. I did this a a lvl 21 Rogue with no trouble at all. Lady V. was on her tod on the main shore by the island at 9, 16. As she was a lvl 22 it was a breeze.

Line up a pyroblast on the sea witch as she patrols past you such that it is max range when your cast completes. Immediately follow with a fireball. Sheep Ruuzel after the fireball. Finish up the sea witch with a fireball and a fireblast.

Re-sheep Ruuzel, frost nova to hold the myrmidon in place and kill him with fireballs/blasts. Re sheep Ruuzel after the myrmidon dies, bandage, evocate, mana shield and kill him.

I never saw Lady Vespia but killing Ruuzel wasn't that hard.&nbsp You can find her roaming around the island. I am a lvl 20 hunter and had a lvl 21 priest with me.&nbsp If your group just consentrates on Ruuzel then you can always come back to loot.

I went back to Talen and got this quest at level 27 as a druid, just for completenness' sake. Rooted the myrmidon (warrior mob) with her and then killed Ruuzel and ran off from the priestess. I was very surprised to get 2500 experience for completing the quest at such a high level.

This is my first time playing WoW. I'm a 22 shaman.
And I had loads of problems doing this quest. I died several times - like 8.

Then I read some of your replies and mixed them a bit.
What I did =
1) Clear NE part of isle
2) Kill the fighter add
- I used Gift of Naruu, then the reduce dmg totem, then I used lightning bolt, then Earth shock, then I began to fight him and used Earth shock whenever I could, then I healed myself once and casted the slow totem, then ran.
3) Kill the mage add
- I used the reduce dmg totem and casted lightning bolt and used lesser healing once or twice, then ran..
4) Kill ruuzel
- That should be very easy, remember to use lesser healing wawe - it's really cool

Not only did she drop the ring, she dropped a green mail belt and about 65 copper and of course the usual clam (no pearl). Even better is not having to fight those annoying, linked naga on the island. Hard to solo that one but if you're careful, you can follow Ruuzel until she's alone. But Vespia, even if she's an elite, is not tough and not surrounded by casters.

Oh and did I mention 2550 XP at level 23? Not bad.

Priest solo'd Ruuzel and his two buddies. If you get rid of the other naga on the island, then when his gang comes along, fear them, you should be able to kill Ruuzel easily epecially with your shield. Heal yourself and fight the other ones. (Or run away like I did and collect the ring when they leave.) btw..where is Vespia?

As a 22 hunter I soloed the quest.&nbsp I cleaned out a area of naga when Ruuzel and his two buddies came along I put my pet on Ruuzel and stood back and tagged him till he was dead.&nbsp Then I ran to the other shore line while his buddies chased me.&nbsp Soon I was out of their range and the ran back.&nbsp I waited till they got away form the body...Ran back and looted it.&nbsp Took me all of five minuted to complete the quest..Never even died once neither did my pet.

For hunters, setting a freezing trap works as well. I chose the northeast side of the island and cleared out surrounding naga from the shore. I had my bear out, and he held aggro really well so I was able to stay clear and shoot. Fighting two as opposed to three is a lot easier, and it didn't take too long to kill all three although I did almost die due to massive lag, my server is horrible lately.

I had tried this quest a few times in low 20's with my cat, and ending up dying every time.&nbsp When I did it this time I was 25 and lvled to 26 during the fighting. Rather easy, and still yellow xp level for the quest.

Same thing as another user just hapened to me. I used to go to the island and get the ring from there but it was a pain in the butt at low level but this time I found that MOB Lady Vespia before you reach the island on the shore and she dropped the ring as well as a pair of boots [Shimmering Boots of Arcane Wrath]. Easier.

Did this with a Lv 22 Mage while I happened to be in the area. After taking out Ruuzel I headed SE and ran across Vespia. I took out both nearby sea creatyres (whatever they were called) first and Lady Vespia had no chance. Easy quest, the only hard part were a couple of horde PvP hunters that were camping there taking out the quest giver whenever he respawned.

Ruuzel as you will see is protected by 2 body guards, dont bother going on the island - we cleared the area ready to take her , then decided we wouldnt be able to take all 3 and were returning to zoram strand to find some other quests, when we came across lady vespia, level 22 took her - and yes she drops the ring -- shes not on the island, but on hte shore before it.

Dont make more work for your self - just kill her for the drop.

As a 21 shadow priest Ruuzel was too difficult to kill all 3 at once so I had to kill one add, run away, kill another add and run away, and then kill Ruuzel. I should have looked for Lady Vespia first because I found her on the way back. Don't let your health get too low on Vespia because she does a frostbolt volley that does a lot of damage. Ruuzel is insanely easy to kill as a rogue. Good use of sap and distract can split the group, so you only have to deal with one at a time. Basically, sap one, let the other two path away. Kill the sapped one. Repeat on the other add. Then, finish off with Ruuzel.

Piece of cake.

sry but you guyz are wrong .. im lvl 21 and easied ruuzel with ease . freeze priest nuke ruuzel then nuke myrm , and after priestess . a pet is always nice to have. :)

btw lady vespia i done with my alt and shes lvl 21 rare . drops nothing out of the ordinary greens , but still a green is a green :)

Headed out to kill Ruuzel..on the way going carefully after reading posts came across "Lady Vespia" at (cosomos loc 9,16) 24 Elite and she dropped the "Ring of Zoram"

In case someone dont know this. Right before the Island where Ruuzel resides you can sometime find a mob called Lady vespia (pink color) (rare mob). I died first once at the Island with my hunter, but killed this mob on way back to land as I wanted to wait and lvl, and belive it or not, Ring of Zoram dropped. :). This may help people not able to solo ruuzel as its assited by 2 other mobs, unless u got a team.

Did this solo with my 24 priest. Attack the priestess from distance and when Ruuzel and the myrmidon get on you hit fear finish priestess and run. Come back and kill myrmidon and ruuzel.

Ruuzel is almost always accompanied by a Wraithtail Myrmidon and a Wraithtail Priestess and attacking any one of the three will provoke them all. If you have to solo this, either be a few levels higher than the stated level of the quest or be prepared to make a kamikaze run, kill Ruuzel, and loot the Ring before you bite it. With a party, however, it shouldn't be terribly difficult.

I did this one as a lvl 23 hunter - sent my pet over to the island, and when Ruuzel came for me, killed her fairly easily after hitting her with concuss and arcane shot.

Nothing else came with her, but I did wonder if one of the myrmidons in the water was buggy - couldn't send pet to attack him, and he 'evaded' all my shots.

21 dwarf warrior, easy quest. cleared a battle ground for the group of three that are on the island of your map in the northwest. You can't miss it its the biggest one.

battle: Charged ruuzal, popped stoneform + retaliation, strike, demo shout and bloodrage. Hamstring for good measures and worked thunderclap in there. Killed all three before I hit half health.

Ruuzel is at Coords: 6.12. On the island. she walks with two guards so careful.. Ruuzel is lvl 22 with a lvl 20 and 21 guard.

Got this on 22 priest. Balked when i saw three, but with a fear i could quickly burn her to 50%.

The adds came back and begin to trash me so i fled and kept dotting her they tethered and reset and i was able to finish her off solo.

Just soloed as a 21 hunter with a health pot. Freeze trap one, get pet to grab the aggro from other two, and fire away at Ruuzel. When the Freeze trapped one gets out, just immolation trap him and keep killing Ruuzel- When she dies, it's a picnic (Especially with Gift of the Naruu)

Lady Vespia does not always drop the ring, but she's still worth killing if you find her ofcourse, since she'll drop a green.

I did this as a level 23 rogue and I was shocked at how simple it was. This is my first rogue and I haven't really mastered her abilities yet so I was a bit nervous to take on three baddies at once. I was prepared to take a potion, an energy tea, sprint, and vanish, but it ended up being much less complicated: I stealthed and used distract hoping to keep all of them where i wanted them, but luckily only Ruuzel stopped and the other two kept going, so I was able to kill her with no interruptions whatsoever. It might be worth it to note I probably got lucky distracting only Ruuzel, and I think Vansivandr's method would work just as well. Good luck to you! :)
