Handful of Stardust (5)

Description

Elune's Tear washed clear some of my daughter's sickness. Her nightmares are lessened and I thank the goddess for her blessing. But ... fever still rages within her.

Orendil told me of a frosted dust found among the Ruins of Stardust. Perhaps it will abate Relara's fever. Gather some of the dust, then please return to me.

The Ruins of Stardust lie to the south, <name>. May Elune speed your journey.

This is fairly easy to do.
Straight to the south of Astranaar is a small pond with an island in the center. Mobs are lvl 23 elementals. Dust is from bushes you harvest.

I went to 36,69 and all there was was a path. It wasn't an isle of any kind it was a path next to a lake! So don't follow those co-ordinates here are the real co-ordinates. The co-ordinates are for the middle of the island an watch out the isle is full of level 22 Elementals. The co-ordinates are:

33,67

First dirt road upon leaving Astranaar - on the RIGHT when leaving. You should be heading in a mostly southern direction - a hair southwestern.

&nbsp Maybe this is a quest geared towards druids.&nbsp Unlike the warrior that claimed it was so difficult.&nbsp I found this one just as easy as the rest.

&nbsp I was never mobbed by more than one.&nbsp I'm guessing maybe the warrior swam across and didn't notice that the elementals are ALSO swimming in the water around the lake.&nbsp Also there are one or two of the elementals that wander randomly a fairly large area.

&nbsp As a cautious type player I always take time to survey the land before I begin my attack.&nbsp I noticed the elementals in the lake, who stay near the bottom, but it's not so deep that you won't aggro them if you swim right over them.&nbsp They ARE easily avoidable though.&nbsp Also, I took time to notice that a couple of them had a very wide range in their wanderings as they patrol the island AND the water.&nbsp I never had to fight more than one at a time.&nbsp In fact I only had to kill 3 to get all 5 of my *whatever it was called*.&nbsp They are plentiful and not far between.&nbsp Also they are easy to find, they are bushes that sparkle.&nbsp Found all 5 of mine within I believe no more than 30 yards, they seem to be evenly spaced around the perimeter of the island.

&nbsp Also, the lightning the warrior thought was random was in fact a spell cast by one of the elementals "raincaller?".&nbsp It does very little damage, and I'm a leather wearer.&nbsp I am NE though so I have a little bit of racial nature resistance.&nbsp The few lightning bolts that hit me did I believe around 20 dmg.

The easiest way to test if there is anything in the water (anywhere), is to click on your 'Attack' key.&nbsp If they're there, it will show.&nbsp I learned that little trick when I was not even a lvl 10 yet.

You can try to convince others this is an easy quest, but for those who cannot stealth, it certainly is not!&nbsp And if you have cheetah or sprint, the most you can hope for is a quick run around the island to get away.&nbsp I died b/c 3 jumped me at one time..two of them came out of nowhere!&nbsp Best advice to get 'er done..HIDE!

Yup, 1850 XP and 100 rep with Darnassus.

The ruins are south of Astranaar, just like it says in the quest text.

Ok ~ some advice. Confirm: coords 33,67

The bushes with the dust are plentiful and easy to get to on the island.

I did solo this at lvl 22 ~ yes lvl 22 :D w/ a Night Elf Druid ~ used the cat shape and stealthed it. It took 2 tries (got 2 on the first and 3 on the 2nd) and it took 4 tries to get the heck out of there ~ but took about 30 minutes total (including returning to body since graveyard is so close)

Good luck!

The bushes with the Stardust on them are only on the island in the center of the small lake that's there. Be wary of the Shadethicket elementals there as they're highly aggro and add-on very frequently.

Coords are 33, 68. Watch out for aggro as they can mob you.

Am I the only one having problems collecting the stardust from the bushes? Every time I finish trying to harvest them, nothing happens. It says "complete," and no box pops up. Not even one stating that the bush was empty. Yet when I fight the monsters on the island, I can get their drops just fine.

Very frustrating!

Although I am a level 21 Hunter and had no problems getting there. Just be careful to pick 'em off one at a time and don't let them mob you.
