Description

Eye juice is good juice for drinking. Too bad most critters only have two eyes.

But spiders have lots of eyes. Lots and lots. And Darkmist eye juice is tasty. Smooth and salty! Unpopped spider eyes... I taste them already.

Darkmist spiders are west of here, in the Darkmist Cavern. You figure the spiders are named after the cave... or is it the other way around?

What Abube says is correct, the spiders have large ranges that overlap with each other, so it's tricky to avoid getting adds. They respawn quickly (about 2-3 mins) so if you're solo most likely you'll not be able to kill them fast enough to keep the area clear. The best thing that I found to do was just stay near the edges of the area and pull singles towards me. If I did pick up an add from respawn they weren't too hard to deal with at lvl 38. They drop plenty of the eyes and there plenty of mobs, so this quest only takes 30 minutes at the most even though 40 eyes might seem like a lot.

The spiders are just north of Brackenwall Village. They drop between 1-3 each kill, 100% drop rate.

Recommend everyone to pull the spiders away a bit, because either the respawn rate is really high, or some spiders are wandering around on BIG areas. I got jumped even though I did this, I never died, but I'm lvl 39 and rogue so I have good chances to escape.

In short, WATCH OUT!

The drop rate is high as said above, 1-3 eyes and it drops from nearly every spider so the droprate would be like 95% for me =)

I'm a lvl.37 hunter with pet.

Found the spiders just north of the village.
Droprate near 100%, 1 or 2 or even 3 eyes.
No problems with alliance or such thing.

Got the 40 eyes fairly easy.

Spideritems bring in good money, hahaha.

to get the eyes: head north on the road from Swamplight Manor (where you get the quest), when the road start heading south you run straight west to Darkmist Cavern. Kill the green spiders! they will drop the Darkmist eyes. Those spiders are at lvl 35-37, I was enable to killed two at the same time (lvl 33 paladin).

Jarl want's you to get 40 eyes...
but the four first mobs dropped 3 eyes each for me :D then it continued with 1-3 eye each (^^,) It took me about 20min to get them all.
It seem'd like the Darkmist Spider's dropped more than Darkmist Recluse.

To add a level range, the Spiders are 35-36, and the Recluses are 36-37. The above posts are correct.

They are all North of the Horde village (Brakenwall Village) to the NW of Dustwallow Marsh

Kill the GREEN ones, all dropped atleast 2 eyes each for me :)

Took about 10 - 15 minutes and got me leveled me.

Yes, the drop rate is high enough that you can get 40 eyes from 20-25 spiders... but the spiders are all level 37-39 and very tightly packed.

IMO, if a quest is level 35, you should be able to solo it at 35.&nbsp In all other quests, the level of the mobs you encounter seem to be a level lower than the quest level.

Head west on the road leading out of Theramore and follow it.&nbsp Once it begins to turn south (at North Pointe Tower) you will keep going west.&nbsp Along the road you won't likely run into any mobs, however, once you leave the road you'll run into 35-37 ish mobs.&nbsp Some of the spiders are stealthy so it might pay to have some plus perception.&nbsp Once you get there the spiders will be allover the place.&nbsp You won't even need to go into the cave.&nbsp They drop regularly and generally more than one at a time.&nbsp The worst part is the spider nature damage.&nbsp It's 61-62 nature damage every 10 seconds and that... sucks... a lot.&nbsp Other than that, it's pretty simple.&nbsp

I got 2750 xp for completing this at level 38 so it's worth doing for the xp even if you don't plan on doing the next part (getting the sword).&nbsp

The cave by the spiders is also a good place to mine for mithril and iron.

this quest was not bad at all as frost mage . Inside cave there is 2 Iron mineral deposits, 1 gold deposit and a rare spider ( who for me dropped lvl 40 plate bracers) The poisons that the spiders shoot at you is strong I used the Jungle Remedy from STV to dispell it.

No trouble at all, drop rate 100% in open area north of village.&nbsp Their poison is nasty though, 62 nature damage every 10 secs.

Ummm.... i've done the quest some time go but i still have unpopped-darkmist-eye in my pack, do i need it for the naxet part if there is one or do i drop ir? aybe a dumb question but yeh that's t, thank in advance.

They are located exactly west. lvl 36ish spiders. They are green spiders. I'm lvl 33 paladin I had no problem killing them

If you go into the cave you should have no trouble. 41 Feral Druid. Took me about 12 minutes, and that's only because there was a Horde in there and I had to wait for respawns. 2 spiders only dropped one eye, the rest always dropped 2 and even 3. Easy quest.

It is in the top northwest corner and there is a cave but you can pick them off solo at the enterance outside.

i found the cave at 35,23. The quest was relatively easy at lv 38 (when it was green) but the spiders will creep up on you, so watch out if your health is already low. each spider drops between one and three eyes, so the target figure of 40 is not as daunting as it sounds.

The Darkmist spiders' poison requires melee-range, by the way, and the recluses' poison has 10-15 yard range, so if you're a ranged class, the poisons shouldn't be too much of a problem.

100% drop rate for me on spiders, recluses and silkspinners. Be careful though. They wander a lot, and even if you're very careful which I am, you can still end up with 3 on you.
