Blueleaf Tuber (6)
Crate With Holes
Snufflenose Owner's Manual
Snufflenose Command Stick

Description

Blueleaf tubers are a delicacy around the world! But they're rare, very rare. The only place to find them is here in the Barrens, deep in the earth, in Razorfen Kraul.

And even then, they're impossible to find unless you know just where to look! That's why I've trained these snufflenose gophers to find them for me. They have great noses and can smell a tuber from fifty paces away.

It won't be easy, but if you get me some tubers I'll pay you handsomely.

Okay, it took some time and clicking to actually locate a nice area, but here it is:

After you enter the dungeon, travel along the tunel until your first T-junction.

Take the LEFT path

Go along until you come to what appears to be a dead-end ledge. There is actually a large green wine to your RIGHT, which is a bridge.

Taking this bridge.

The area directly at the end of this bridge is blueleaf tuber country. Once I summoned the snufflenose, I didn't even need to move. Just keep clicking on the command stick.

For those of you having trouble locating them, the crate, manual and control stick are beside mizzyrix. Outside the general store in Ratchet.

1x Moss Agate
1x Iridescent Pearl
1x Jewelery Box (unique 6 slot container, soulbound)
2x Small Lustrous Pearl
2x Tigerseye

1. When you enter instance, go straight, if you see vines and hogs (called Raging Agam'ar's) you're in the right spot.
2. Kill a bunch of hogs
3. Stand on vine.
4. Click crate with holes, be careful you can only do this 5 times, so make sure you're on right spot (you can check if you're on the right spot if your snufflenose command stick works- that is, it keeps shining when you click it and it doesnt say failed)
5. Gophers. Once you see them, CLICK your snufflenose command stick ONCE. The gophers sniff around come up to you and turn into an HERB (looks like one)
6. Click on the herb and BAM you have collected a blueleaf tuber.

Such a confusing quest if ya don't know what you're doing, took me & my group a LONG time, lol.

Equip the crate.&nbsp When you get up the branch, use the crate to make a snufflenose.&nbsp He's a level 1 critter.&nbsp As soon as he's summoned, use the Command stick and he'll dig for a minute and up will pop a Blueleaf Tuber plant.&nbsp Harvest and you're done.&nbsp For me I just stayed in one place, using the vine method.&nbsp I don't know how you'd get up there solo though, as I was already 33 when I finally figured this stuff out.

if u still dont get it with the blueleaf tubers, read this. first, collect the crate of holes, snufflesnose manual book and the command stick, they r located just left of the quest giver. when inside the dungeon, take the path that goes to the left, and keep going until u meat the first bridge, and a lot of boars down below. summon the gopher and make him dig. do this a couple of times and ure finished.

I soloed this as a level 34 druid. Could probably have done it earlier but I didn't know about the vine trick. I didn't even fight, just went cat form, prowl, snuck on the vine, summoned the critter, got my tubers and snuck back out. Classes that can't just sneak in would probably have to fight their way through.

To get to Razorfen Kraul: go south towards the elevator to Thousand Needles, and keep an eye on your right. You'll see a canyon type place with spiky vines and a meeting stone... that's Razorfen Kraul.

When you first enter RFK, there are three paths, one to the left, one to the right, and one somewhat straight ahead, which requires you to go down a thorn to get to that path..... THAT path is where you want to head down. Make sure the monsters ahead of you down the path are killed so your gophers don't die.. but as soon as you enter the path, u will be able to summon the gopher. just use the contorl stick to tell the gopher to find the tubers. I found this out after 10 minutes of wondering how the &*%$ to use it too =P. Thank god for thottbot!

The tubers are seperated quite a bit along the path so youll be needing to kill around 20 boars before u get enough tubers. The gophers die in one hit because like someone said, there level 1 critters so make sure u don't let them die! only have 5 charges after all...

As posted before, and confirmed.
Go to south in Barrens, just before Lift, west side.
Fight into the instance entry.
Then fight in instance, turning LEFT at the fork.
Most fights can be timed to pull one or two in the mobs.
You reach the bridge as you encounter the last two guards to either side of it. Kill them.
Once you are here Release the Hounds!
Oops, click the box to release the gopher.
As it wonders around, simply click the Stick.
The Gopher will smell around for a few seconds and then a tuber will appear. Harvest it and repeat.
I had no respawn in this area and no adds, so once you are there, it is easy. Just click the stick and wait for the tuber to appear, it might take a few seconds.

I just did this quest last night, as a 28 Druid.&nbsp Thanks to the info here, it wasn't a problem.&nbsp I stealthed in, and with patience, got to the vine, and didn't even have to move, just stood in one spot, and got all the tubers I needed.&nbsp I did die trying to get out though, lol.&nbsp If there is a way to put that thing back in the box, I don't know, so as soon as I tryed to stealth out, darn things jumped me cause they saw the squirrel, or whatever it is, following me.&nbsp Thank goodness you can recover your body by just stepping into the instance. lol&nbsp It's a darn long run though, so don't die!&nbsp Anyways, I just stepped in, and stepped right back out.&nbsp Went into stealth again, and off I was past the guard.&nbsp Thanks for the help!&nbsp And I hope that any info I gave was useful.&nbsp Good luck to those that still need to complete this. :D

I just completed this, actually went back in as duo Warrior/Priest 34. The instructions given by RonoshBeast are very good, but we encountered something different.

We cleared across the bridge and everything past it very easily, you don't see the 28's until you cross the bridge, everything is 24 up to it. Well I kept getting "need nerby tubers" when trying to summon in the exact spot that was described. We even cleared everything past the bridge including the named easy 28.

Went back across the bridge and sniffered and he popped, didn't have to take the bridge at all which is what was said before. Be sure to try once before crossing the bridge!

I've found the best place for the tubers is in the run you escort Willix the Importer through. Doing that, I have yet to encounter the wall clipping problem. Also, found out today you can use all five charges in the same run, whether you've lost a gopher or not, and summoning again when you have one out -does not- make the first gopher go away. I had a herd of five gophers following me by the end of the instance. :)

Followed the advice about sneaking in (Druid cat form, stealthed) patiently, went down the left corridor, went to the middle of the big vine bridge over the ravine, and summoned and commanded the gopher.&nbsp The mobs never cross that bridge, not even patrols.&nbsp When I was done getting the tubers, I logged out and logged back in to get rid of the stupid gopher so it would not follow me and give me away.&nbsp When I logged back in , I was still in the middle of the vine bridge.&nbsp Snuck back out and turned in the quest to finally get friendly rep with Ratchet.

When you enter Razorfen Kraul, follow RonoshBeast's directions. When you are in the area described in his post, you'll right click the box that you recieved, and a gopher will appear. Then you will right click the rod that you picked up to command the gopher to go looking for any Blueleaf Tubers. It'll say that the gopher is wiggling it's whiskers or something along those lines, as it sits there, then it will commence the searching. Note that enemies WILL attack your gophers so clear a hefty sized area before trying to find the Tubers.

Meok is just to the left of the bank in Ratchet. Once you receive the quest, you need to pick up 3 items which are on a table right next to him, about a yard to his right. Once you picked up the items, head South the Razorfen Kraul. Once in there, take your first right, and follwo the direction from SevenVII: Once you are inside we had to kill(took the right passage) for about 10-15 before we found an area that would let us use the gophers! After they find 1 just stay in that area and they will find more :D

just fyi based on my attempt at this tonite...

A quick note on the stealth to the green vine method of completing this quest. Just now I made the attempt as a Level 24 Druid. I went cat/prowl all the way to the vine np. Lucky probably at that level that no inhabitants saw thru my stealth, but they didn't. Once on the vine I went to take out my gopher and before I could even do so a Raging Agam'ar spawned right ON the vine out of nowhere.

I would recommend doing this as a part of a group run of the instance, and not trying to stealth it unless you easily solo these mobs. If you do stealth it, do so as a higher level, clear the area just across the vine bridge (as one of the posts here offers) and then get your tubers, but if you are not capable of clearing first, don't expect to be able to run this method for this quest.
