A Baying of Gnolls

Kill 10 Redridge Brutes and 8 Redridge Mystics, then return to Verner Osgood.

Description

As if the attacking orcs weren't enough! Now I have gnoll brutes and mystics prowling along the ridge north of my stable, taking my horses when they stray...

If you can get rid of those gnolls, my horses and I would be very grateful.

There is a quest you get that asks you to run an errand to goldshire this is a pre requisite for this quest.

Do the Everstill bridge quest at the same time. You get it from Foreman Oslow right there in town. it is totally worth it cause you do both at the same time and are getting credit for both. its really handy for xp and time savers

In order to get the 'Baying of Gnolls' quest, which leads to 'Howling in the Hills', and 'Underbelly Whelp Scales' quest, you need to do 'The Price of Shoes' quest and 'Return to Verner'.

if ur looking for those gnolls then go look in the valley just beyond Lakeshire its full of em! the valley entrance and exit is from 38,31 to 23,36 XD

Do "The Lost Tools" quest quick and get the 2nd part of that series, "The Everstill Bridge" from Verner Osgood by the bridge. You will be killing the same mobs as this quest, might as double up on the quest xp.

After getting this quest go north along the road...you can find these guys to the left side of the road in the hills...Brutes wonder on the outskirts of the camps and there should be 1-2 of them near the fire that has the 3-4 mobs. Mystic's are by the fire and there are a few wondering...if you go behind the first camp you'll find another with more to kill...Re-spawn rate is decent so having other's there killing same mobs is ok...

This quest took me quite a while to finish, as the Mystics seem to occur much more than the Brutes. They also wander from the camp more. Be ready with a spell interrupt for the Mystics, as they will heal themselves.

This quest felt way more difficult than a lvl 20 quest. The mobs are only 17-19, but the agro is THICK! Patrols of 2 gnolls wander around the area, constantly adding to agro, plus the mystics have heals so if you do get a mystic add, you're screwed.

Did both quests. Came back to town to collect my reward and it would not allow me to click on the ring as my reward. Thus I was robbed of my reward. I did get the 9s and some exp. NOT to cool if you ask me. Am a 22 lvl Paladin and I wanted the ring to enhance my abilities. Anyone else not get their just reward?
