The cave in Stalebog contains all three types of the murlocs you need to kill, and personally was much nicer then trying to pull single oracles out of large packs off the beach or underwater. The only issue I had was trying not to run into Swamp Talker, who I think has two different spawn points from within the cave. Running into a level 50 surrounded by level 44 mobs at 43 wouldn't have gone well I'm sure.

No reward, even though the quest hints to one. :(

Note: Quest isn't repeatable.

For the shore, you'll find Flesheater/Oracle between 94, 25 and 94, 60. The Flesheaters seem to be more likely to spawn than the Oracles, so all the (I think, three maybe four) spawns for the Oracles get clogged up sometimes.

For you herbalists, I found a cluster of Stranglekelp around 93,73.

I didn't know about the cave, but if you can deal with being underwater the sunken ship area at 95,25 has about 7 spawns which are usually half oracle half flesheater.

A potential bonus over the cave is that they are pretty much all single pulls with no possibility of aggro from runners. IE: safe )

Ya the actual reward sucks but over all just doing the beach, i a lvl 43 lock got over half a lvl just getting to the oracles and as long as u kill the flesheaters that spawn in oracle spawns they go fast. Also those complaining about no $$ are not thinking it through. Most drop clams or whatnot and i got 3 gold pearls during this session and 2 black, that was&nbsp over 120 gold ... ya not much $$ ... look at the whole picture please.

There are much Oralces @ 95.19, around the sunken Ship in the forbidden sea. When you killed all, they respawn quick, so you can solve this quest without any trouble on the beach.

i recommend holding this quest for 47 or 48 and doing this in the stalebog cave and paring this quest with swamp talker, http://classicdb.ch/?quest=2623, the mob is lvl 50 and can be easily done if solo pulled. One clear of the cave should complete the quest.

I just at at 93, 60. Doing both the quests "Continued Threat" and "Fresh Meat", which are both considered a bit hard. Once i have killed the oracles i would just kill the Monstrous Crawlers and while waiting for respawn i would sit around and clear the others out.

If you are solo, anything other than the sunken ship is just crazy. Find the campfire on the beach (chest nearby!), swim out, and kill the oracles and flesheaters in or near the wreck. The flesheaters and oracles seem to spawn at nearly the same rate. If you kill them all, the first ones will be re-spawning by the time you're ready to start over. Trying to do this along the beach is horrid, and the cave is too crowded. This is a good combo with the monster crab quest.

Thanks to those who mentioned the sunken ship!

I did the prereq for this quest about 12 hours ago. You need Flesheaters, Murlocs and Inkspewers. I had a horrible time finding the Flesheaters, I was riding around trying to pick them out of the middle of tons of Oracles.
Now I am back doing this part and it is an exact switch. Not an oracle in sight. Not even in that cave. I am surrounded by Flesheaters. I am literally standing around, waiting for respawns while I type this.
Anyway, what I am getting at is that it's all luck :p

Not true, murlocks = sea creature = Big-mouth Clam = Golden Pearl =)

By the way, oracles are also found in the Stagalbog Cave.

I didn't go to the cave, though after reading this I should have. I did all my Oracle hunting on the beach. Never found the sunken ship either. Anyways, seems that one Oracle spawns in each beach camp. Problem is, there are always 4-6 more murlocs around the oracle. So you have to go through most of them first. Also the Oracles will not chase you, they are casters and stay put, so you have to go to them. The problems arise when you are working on three at a time (in druid bearform), and two get low on health and run and aggro a couple more. Then you have five or six hitting you, some close range, others casting *!@#e on you and it gets impossible to cast, and you go down. So.... just go to the cave or the ship for your Oracle kills. Don't torture yourself like I did.

It seems that there is some weird respawn around the sunken ship. When I first went there, there was only one oracle. However I killed some of the flesheater and some oracles replaced them in the respawn. After a few kills the flesheater were back.

And yes the reward is not worth it. This quest seems unfinished ...

Flesheaters and Oracles are placeholders for each other on the (stationary spawn points only?) beach, probably with a higher chance of a flesheater spawning than an oracle.

Yes, this is a time-consuming quest with a %^&*ty reward, but if you go to the cave it just might be worth it. I found quite a few oracles there, and good mining. Both mithril and truesilver.

But it helps if you're a rogue like me and can sneak around and avoid the mobs you don't want, like that lvl 50 Swamp Talker or whatever.

Horrible quest. Not fun, not dangerous, annoyingly horrible. Spawn-camped the oracles. Damned ink guys would blind me and aggro three other murloks into the fray. And for less than 4k exp, and no cash?

I downloaded the Titan bar and it gives a small bar across top of screen with loc. Was able to find ship this way at above location. That cave is evil to many runners, and as a druid can't root indoors
