Did this in one night.&nbsp I was lucky enough to find another warlock on the same quest at the same time while in the Barrens.&nbsp We found the guy and headed back to get the heartswood together, ran into another warlock on the quest and all 3 of us finished in record time.

Only thing, do not get caught in the open in the Barrens when the servers hiccup.&nbsp I was in the middle of the camp, wondering why there were no hoard creatures when I was disconnected.&nbsp It took me 5 lives before I was able to res far enough from the camp to be safe.&nbsp that was when I ran into the other warlock.

Tedious is the travel in this quest.&nbsp It seemed to take forever, especially when sneaking round the Barrens.&nbsp How I wished for my rogue Sneak ability...

The last part - killing the succubus - was the easiest part of the quest.&nbsp VoidWalker did most of the work as I sucked another soulshard when she died.&nbsp Went to be right after that, gonna have to see how she handles in the wilds tonight...

go through theramore & set your hearthstone to the Inn in theramore & head for the barrens from there(with voidwalker in passive mode) & when u get to the start of the Barrens go up on top of the hills on your right side & travel along until near Taurajo camp then look down from on top of hills & you will see a tent next to 2 trees.Takar the seer is located at the tent. Beware there are level 20+ creatures at the bottom of the hills. I ran the course twice & didn't meet any opposition atop the hills. Hearthstone back to theramore & take a boat of flight to auberdine & travel south to Maestras post to get the Heartswood ( you have to stand right in front of the tree & "attack" it (right click)

You have to kill her without letting her move out of the circle - if she moves out, the guards come and kill her.&nbsp Basically summon her, and keep clicking on her to kill her where she stands, DON'T let her move.

The guys above explaining the previous quest for some reason.
In the Binding quest you just go down to the basement as you did for the void.
Use the Heartswood Core acquired by the prequest to summon a lvl 20 succubus. Use your void to tank it.

I think it's far easier to take the boat from Menethil to Darkshore and then run to Ashenvale.&nbsp Pickup the flight paths, BTW, and set your heartstone in Astranaar, because that will be where you'll be coming to next.&nbsp Run southeast into the Barrens and find the guy.&nbsp Then Hearth back to Astranaar.&nbsp The tree is on the right as you approach the ruins of Ordnil --- can't miss it because there are 3 or so warlocks there.&nbsp When complete --- back to SW.

I did at lvl 21, easy peasy!

First you need to get the quest in SW, by lock trainer

then go to The barrens(dont got cords now)
deliver the stuff..

Go to Ashenvale(31,31)

Then go to Lock trainer in SW aigan and you get something in ur backpack, use it downstairs in the lock training room..

Kill her and get her)

Soloed at level 20, gnome warlock.

I did not have any helpful flightpaths yet so this is how I did it.

Flew to Westfall, then swam from there to Booty Bay. Just kept good distance to the shore and no one disturbed me.
Took the FP in BB and then went on the boat from there to Ratchet and ran to Takar the Seer (https://classicdb.ch/?npc=6244) from there.

After this, first instinct would be to run north, but instead I took my HS back to IF and ran to Westfall and grabbed my FP there and then hopped on the boat to Darkshore got the FP and ran from there to the tree.

Finished my bussiness there, killed about 4 of them, then continued to Astranaar and took the FP there.

This route was pretty fast and easy, and got me 4 new flight paths.

I love her, she's damn sexy and is quite a good damage dealer. But it pisses me off that she's so weak.
Killing her was the easiest part of the quest, because she is weak. I didn't do much either, my Voidwalker did almost all the work, I hit her a few times with Corruption and stuff, and finished with Drain Soul to get a Soul Shard.
I try to use her a lot because I love her, but you need to look after her and heal her a lot, or she'll get killed very easily.

Using my 20th Level Human Warlock, This is how I completed this quest:

Earlier in the game, get the Menethil Harbor flight path, then take the boat to Auberdine. Get the flight path from there and proceed on foot to Astranaar and get the flight path and Hearthstone there as well as you'll need it to get back.

Next, go from there south and follow the road east towards Raynewood retreat and continue past it until you come to a road on the right, which takes you south into the barrens. The Road is between Raynewood and the Splintertree outpost...just so you know, there is a Horde outpost at the entrance to the barrens, but if you bare left, you'll find a hole in the outpost wall you can traverse and avoid the guards altogether.

Travel onward into the barrens via the gold road...a 2nd outpost at the crossroads is here so go around. You'll reach your goal in no time.

Once you get the quest to obtain the Heartswood, use your Hearthstone and go back to Astranaar...go to the ruins of Ordil'Aran and approach from the south. I only had to take out 2 Dark Strands and moved along the edge of the mountain to get the Heartswood as you don't have to be right upon it to interact with the tree. It helps to do it that way so you avoid causing other Dark Strands from attacking you.

Now, reverse your way back to Stormwind, visit Gakin, beat down the succubus...visit Gakin again. Enjoy your succubus..

This is the way I did it, and was nearly hastle-free. I sicked my Voidwalker on the succubus and just sat back and watched the fight.

&nbsp go to menethil, boat from menethil to theramore.&nbsp use breathing spell to swim from theramore to barrens, then go to 49,57 as stated above. SO easy even a caveman could do it.&nbsp Anyway, after you get the heartswood quest, go north to ratchet (for flight path only) then run up the road avoiding horde outposts into ashenvale. make sure that you go thru the hole in the fence and not thru the gate as you will die.&nbsp go to ordil'aran for the heartswood. the heartswood is at 31,31 just run in with a soulstone on you and die near the pillars. rez up kill one, summon VW, kill 2 more, get heartswood, beat feet out of there and hearth back to SW.&nbsp dont forget to get astranaar FP on your way by.&nbsp go back to darkbringer to turn in quest, summon and kill succy, turn in quest. look in spellbook, place summon succy on action bar, TADAAAH! all done

In my personal opinion, the succubus is a decent pet. It's mostly useful because of its seduce spell. When you start taking part in end-game content, the only pet you'll be using is your imp. Your imp will just be something that's there for its stamina buff and the soul link you have with it (If you are demonalogy specced in which case you'll get 10% less chance to be seen in instances) so take advantage of your succubus because you wont get a big chance to use it later on (unless you plan on doing alot of BG, in which case will be very useful)

And I quote, directly from thottbot:
"heartswood core"
PROVIDED

If you accidentally threw this item away, abandon the quest and talk to the quest giver again... (you may have to only talk to the quest giver, not quit the quest, I'm not sure.)
