Description

I will make you the helm, but you must show me you are worthy of it.

Nestled in the northwestern reaches of the Stonetalon Mountains there lies the Charred Vale. It was once a verdant place, but is now defiled and ashen, and what creatures remain there are mad with pain and despair.

That place is where I send you, <name>.

You must go to the Charred Vale and find a chimaera matriarch. Slay her, free her of her misery. Bring me her galvanized horn as proof, and I shall make for you the helm.

I know many of these posts were from a long time ago, and this shouldn't matter, but for whatever reason its bugging me.

MATRIARCH - means woman or mother figure so you did not find "him", you found her.

If it was a "him", Orm would have told you to kill a PATRIARCH.

Anyways,

30.70s area is pretty close to where I found her also.

SHe actually spawns right at the entrance to Desolace from The Charred Vale.&nbsp If you camp there you will find her rather easily.

You have to wait until he shows up. The coords stated above are correct but he shows up by himself not with company. The place is crowded with those weird flying human-bird looking things, crocodiles, elementals, and other weird stuff. The best thing is to kill one by one so you dont have to be avoiding them all the time. Another thing, you will see two guards, follow the road and it will take you straight to the post. Have fun

How much exp do these quests give for turning them in?&nbsp I'm guessing it's much less than the 3650 + 3050 from the Chest piece.

Edit:&nbsp Found out it's 1200 for finding the guy, and then 1200 + 1850 + Brutal Helm for finishing this.

Found it roaming along the southern walls of the Charred Vale. The Matriarch is larger than the Fledgling Chimaeras and is easy to spot.

I had to kill 3 chimaeras b4 mine dropped at the coordinates of 30,74&nbsp just near the entrance to desolace. there are quite a lot in this area

i completly devastae'd the creature at 35 72 im a 26 war and to be honest im glad i went down the list backwards from furthest walk to shortest walk first i did the leggings and that was a pain second i did the gloves easy third i did the helm like easy doesnt describe it the hardest part of this hole qeust was the very first point to open the chain...finding the guy on the mount top and then going though the hassle for the chest

Slightly west of 32,74 but followed her almost to that exact spot to get her alone. Completed at level 26. Retalliation used, but probably not needed. only quest rewards for gear.

This quest is really worth doing, specially around lvl 20-24 since there are not many helmets that you can equip at that level.

found her pretty easy, she was pretty easy anway. This helm looks like a gray hood, not EVEN what the picture suggests.
