Description

The slain elemental has produced an intensely glowing globe of water. The contents of the globe are, at best, disgusting. It would be safe to assume that whatever has befouled the water of Mystral Lake is most likely present in the water of the globe.

It's not exactly common knowledge who might be interested in such a find; perhaps the person who originally sent you out to the lake, Mastok Wrilehiss at Splintertree Post, might have an idea.

This mob is found in Mystal Lake at loc 47,70. You can do this at the same time as the 'Stonetalon Standstill' quest. The mob for this is much larger and more powerful than your standard water elemental in the Mystal Lake. I managed to kill him twice and both times he dropped the Befouled Water Globe. You can only have one at a time on you. So, if you're in a group you need to kill him for each person on that quest.

You gain 550 experience.
Your reputation with Orgrimmar has slightly increased.

The globe is dropped by Tideress the named water elemental on the small island with the gazebo in Mystral Lake, Ashenvale. It'll take you on a small journey that'll bring you some nice XP (considering the work you do, and if you have the flight path at Zoram'Gar already, even easier!) and some nice gear.

As the info implies, this quest is Horde-only.

I can confirm that you <b>do</b> have to be on the quest "Stonetalon Standstill" (obtained from Splintertree Post in Ashenvale) to be able to loot the Befouled Water Glove.

However i'm unsure whether or not it still drops once Stonetalon Standstill is complete.

Well to get this quest started I had to kill the named Befoulded Water Elemental in Mystral Lake, He dropped the Befouled Water Globe and it is a Soulbound Item that starts the quest.

Really simple actually, and nice exp.&nbsp You have to complete this quest in BFD https://classicdb.ch/quest=6921 and then a elite elemental would appear, kill the elemental and you'll get the quest item. The quest item might also drop from the Tidewhatever at the lake but this is the easiest way to get it.

You have to kill Tideress, a slightly larger Elemental than normal who is also tinged green. You will know it when you see it.

If you need to drop the globe for any reason (i.e. found a shiny blue item, or wow! that Shredder page you needed!), you need to abandon this quest from your log to get Tideress to drop another globe for you.

After giving the globe to Mastok, he says:

You find a nasty ball of water and decide to bring it to me? Who am I, the Earthen Ring or something?
{rofl}

Actually that does give me an idea... perhaps you do need the Earthen Ring for this. I mean, if it helps clear up the situation at the lake for good, then I'm all for it.

Mastok then gives you a new quest Je'Neu of the Earthen Ring.

The elementals name is Tideress. Instead of the aqua looking color like the others are, he's a green color. Much like the green goo and stuff you get off enemies. (If you look at the picture for the goo, it's almost that kinda green the picture is.)

I found him on the island in the middle. I hadn't seen him the other times I'd been here, but found 'em today.
