Bring 10 Linen Cloth and the 6 Charged Rift Gems to Wynne Larson in Stormwind.

Description

You have served your fellow mages well, and now it is time to don your wizard's robe. Wynne Larson can make your robe, but you must bring her the needed materials

The robe will be made of linen which is easy to find, but you must also gain charged rift gems, and the only known location of the gems is in the Silver Stream Mine of Loch Modan, left in crates by the dwarven miners' league.

Gather the linen and the gems and bring them to Wynne Larson at the Larson Clothiers in the Mage District.

Not the ugliest robes in the game - and no you probably don't have better.&nbsp I checked the auction house before doing this quest and bout the best chest piece for level 16 (which is when you get this quest) and the armor value is @ 28, the same at what I bought at the auction house - plus these looked better.&nbsp Took me all of 15 minutes to do this quest: 1.Set your hearthstone to Stormwind and fly to Ironforge (or tram).&nbsp 2.Walk due west through the Southgate Outpost and then travel north, you'll eventually see it.&nbsp 3.Kill the rat dudes inside (they will give you the cloth) and collect the gems from the boxes.&nbsp 4.Hearthstone back to Stormwind.&nbsp 5.Got to the tailor in the Magic District and turn it in, then wait for them to make your robe - then collect it.&nbsp Probably one of the easiest quests I have done ever.

Quest Cave: Loch Modan 35,18.
Just run around the cave collecting from these boxes... when your done the FP is down the road SOUTH.

Mobs outside the mine are levels 10-12, inside are 12-14.

And if you kill you get yourself linen! (10)
and getting that linen is one part of the quest to get the Charged Rift Gems (6) you need to get in the mine they are boxs&nbsp and you might as well get Filthy Paws while you do your mage quest!

So the robe wasn't designed by Stella McCartney. If it was, you would have to fork over 15 Gold for it like some of the later quests in the game.

OK, my mage not only had gear with better stats, she looked a lot better in her stuff than in this. But that's not the point. The point is the XP (the total for the chain was pretty good) and the chance to travel to new places (so what if Loch Modan isn't Paris) and figure out how to make it work, while all the time the clock is ticking for the Time-Contrained Player.

Danbooke2001 had it right. You get the flight path to Loch Modan (which you need later for the Badlands) and you could take another 15 minutes, run to Menethil Harbor (you're already halfway there) and get the flight path there (which you need for the Wetlands), which also gives you access to the boat to Auberdine, which you will need later also.

It's a game of intelligence, not a pinata.

go out of thelsamar and up north. when u arrive at a crossroad, take ure right. Kobold guards the mine. ^^

1. Heartstone in Stormwind is good idea. Do it in the Inn near Bank.

2. Two choices:
- Use new Flightpath system to fly directly to Thelsamar if you have played some time ago there and already found the flightpath point. Walk now to the north, and when you're near Algaz Station, walk now to east to mine.
- Without Flightpath point in Thels, take Deeprun Train (Fly takes more time and heavy map load for your pc), then walk out the Ironforge, walk to east to Loch Modan, follow the path, use left path to North Gate Pass, then walk further to Loch Modan.
Then walk more to east, and you see the mine already.
Use south entrance before you enter the terrain, to avoid many kobolds as possible around the campfire.

3. After collecting both items, and you're at the end of mine, use heartstone and complete your quest :P Fast and easy.

Normally said, i have already 28 armor robe, but this has nice texture and looks more colorful.

This quest is well worth it, if not for the reward, then for the XP.&nbsp At level 17, I got 800xp for turning it in, and another 1050xp once talked to the quest giver to get my robe.&nbsp That's about 2 bars worth xp at lvl 17.

Even better, you can complete Filthy Paws from Algaz Station and Rat Catching from Thelsamar at the same time.

The Manaweave Robe is your prize and no its not to impressive but its not to bad for a low lvl it gives you 28 Armor +2 intellect +2 spirit and it has 50 Durability and i was lvl 15 when i did the quest and i had no trouble with it. it gives you 1050 XP as well

They are not in single crates - they are in the stacked boxes (same ones that the miners' gear are in for that Filthy Paws quest).

I like my robe! The lavendar color goes great with my green hair & blue eyes.&nbsp LOL

The Seer's Robe is a little better:

35 armor
+6 intellect
+3 spirit
60 durability
requires level 16

vs.

Manaweave Robe
34 armor
+6 intellect
60 durability

Manaweave is pinkish-purple and Seer's is dark and light blue striped.

They must have changed the reward, its still the&nbsp Manaweave Robe.. but its:

60 Durability
