Find the phrase to Tirth's strongbox, then return to Tirth.

Description

I can help you with the book, but first you have to help me!

The tome you seek is in my magically locked strongbox. To open it a special phrase must be uttered, and I can't remember the phrase! Normally my assistant helps me remember these things but he's nowhere to be found.

If you want my book, then find my apprentice! Ask around the race track--if you're lucky then someone has seen him. Either drag him back here, or at least get my magic phrase from him so we can open my box!

Was pretty easy ...
Don't see what the problem is.

You talk to the guy, get the quest...
Then there are a few people who give you hints about who could have some info. The one on the tower says that he turned himself into a chicken.
When you leave the tower you run into him, he's around there.
Then you select (click :P) him with your mouse, and type /beckon in your chatwindow.
He'll then turn into a human which you can talk to.
He won't give you a password, but you will see him whisper something.
Then you go back to the guy who gave ou the quest and you get the followup :)

Find "Plucky" Johnson (he's a little chicken). Click on "Plucky" Johnson and then type /beckon. He will morph back into a man. Talk to him to get the password.

get the quest - go up in tower at racetrack -
talk to him and jump down from tower and there the chicken is , just around the tower .
Click it and type /BECKON , he will puff to human , talk to him - FINISH

he is just across the race way, there is a tower, he is just east of the ramp to go up that tower. The name is the "Plucky" Johnson, a lvl 1 and is a very small chicken, target him and type /beckon it will say quest complete.

The little chicken is @ 79,75.

He is a damn small chicken and gray so at night he will blend in w/ the ground. Talk to the dwarf at the top of the tower then face the ogre and jump off. he will be wandering a few paces. click and type /beckon

Pretty weird. If you hang around a minute he will of course change back into a chicken. And, of course, the command will work on him again if you try it. Useles information but someone might want it.

German version sucks -.-

In german, beckon is similar to wave, but /wave doesn't work.
Nobody would ever think of typing beckon -.-

You can find him around oppisite the guy who gives you the quest, and is by the tower, next to the starting area.

Typing /beckon will turn him into human form and you can speak to him for the password, but as a little treat, you can type /chicken and he will turn into human and give you a little wave :)

Found the chicken at 79,75. Right at the bottom of the tower. /beckon worked great!

Ok once you get the quest go beside the tower with the ogre and you can see a chicken named ""Plucky" Johnson" go up to the chicken and say /beckon and he'll turn into a human now talk to him and he'll say the secret phrase and boom you all finished (not the whole quest of course =D)

I found "Plucky Johnson" at 80,76 in Thousand Needles. He is a chicken. Target the chicken and type /beckon. Then when he becomes a human right click him to get the quest update.

After speaking with Tirth, searchthe area for a lone chicken, I found him near the lookout platform. click on him and then type "/beckon" and press enter. He will change form back to human and then will give you the password that you seek.

So far, only one person has submitted useful information. I found the chicken, Plucky Johnson, near the lookout platform (the one with the ogre and dorf on top), I typed /chicken first, he morphed into a human, then morphed back into a chicken. Then I typed /beckon, he morphed into a human and then I was able to talk to him.

Small, easy to miss he is just on the other side of the race track, opposite Magus Tirth. Plucky Johnson.
/beckon works as long as you have not handed the phrase in, after that does nothing.
/chicken always works but is only funny, he waves at you, but you cannot speak with him.

I'm so happy to find this. I kept doing /chicken and couldn't figure out what else I needed to do. My guild members said /chicken for this quest too. You can imainge how amusing I was to the other people in the area standing there /chicken over and over:)

If you ask members of the pit crew , goblin ones will tell you his assistants name is Johnston.
Goblin ones will tell you his name is Plucky , and another will refer you to the goblin at the top of the stand... and he will tell you that Plucky is hiding , having disguised himself as a chicken .
He will also tell you to beckon the chicken.
