Between a Rock and a Thistlefur

Take down 8 Thistlefur Avengers and 8 Thistlefur Shaman; most are located east of Zoram Strand in Thistlefur Village. Once completed, return to Karang Amakkar at Zoram'gar Outpost, Ashenvale.

Description

The Thistlefur furbolgs are threatening our expansion! Thistlefur Village to our east blocks the way between us here and the Splintertree Post. It's a path that would circumvent the village of Astranaar; without it, we give the Alliance an extra expansion path.

<name>, we must not allow... an expansion path gap!

Proceed to Thistlefur Village and thin out the furbolgs. You will be given compensation for this task, but more importantly you will be doing your duty for the Horde!

This one is easy to do. Just head east from where you got the quest and stay on the road toward Astranaar. Before you get to Astranaar you make a left and go north. Soon you'll see plenty of Thistlefurs to kill.

My results:
You gain 1950 experience.
Your reputation with Orgrimmar has increased.

(http://classicdb.ch/?quest=6482) inside the cave where you get the Troll Charms. Its an escort quest. If you can solo 3-4 24's then u can solo this escort.

Low levels, be cautious. The Thistlefur Shamans can cast healing wave which heals about 50% of their health. Also, the Thistlefurs respawn quickly, so if you're stopping the game, and standing there while you're typing a comment on Wowhead, then watch out like me, because I'm a level 23 mage and I didn't realize that they respawned so quickly.

Ok experience must go down as you level as I received 1550xp and 17silver at level 30 was a quest sitting for a while so did it to clean out my log :) but I agree a nice simple one with plenty of them to choose from. They also drop pages for the manual :)

The Avengers are easy but the shamens required a little bit more on the shamens i used Mana drain(warlock) to drain thier mana so they could not heal. Not sure if i used My Succubus if that would change anything but i did it with my voidwalker Again 1950 exp and 17 silver coin and rep with orgrimmar Completed at lvl 25

im a 25 rogue, this was easy, the mobs were not too close together like someone else said, and they also drop the rope you need for the warsong supplies quest, only took 2 kills to drop it.

This is an excellent quest for someone looking to combine questing and grinding, I found the Thistlefurs really easy to grind, and the 2000 XP I got for handing in the quest only sweetened the deal. The village is located to the north east of the quest giver, in the forest.
