Description

The paw of the mighty bear Ursangous is your trophy for this part of the Ashenvale Hunt. On the paw is a small quarter-crescent emblem; the significance of the emblem remains a mystery.

The paw should be brought to Senani Thunderheart in Splintertree Post to prove that you have bested the mighty creature and completed this portion of the hunt.

Pretty much where the following three paths intersect youll find him.
1) west of Silverwind retreat
2) north of Talondeep mine exit from Stonetalon
3) south of that tiny river east of Astrananar

Where those 3 points intersect you will find the bear wandering around.&nbsp I'd post the /tloc but its not updated right now to the new patch.&nbsp

Oh, and he was 25 not 24.

Just killed him, didn't know about him or anything, just bumped into him, doesn't appear to drop the paw after 1.10 patch?
Didnt' get any loot, unless of course you either a) have to skin it or b) have to have a quest for it, allthough supposedly this is supposed to start a quest ... (the paw that is).

Yep, you have to complete the "Ashenvale hunt" quest by speaking to Senani in Splintertree post.
After that the paw drop is 100%

28 tauren druid here, killed Ursangous 3 times now, haven't gotten the paw... Perhaps you gotta talk to the one NPC that tells you about the animal?&nbsp THEN it drops?&nbsp I will test this.

Ursangus is very near to the talondeep path and the silverwind refuge, he's easy to distinguish from the other bears because he is a little lighter in color. He drops a paw and this paw begins a quest (All u have to do for the quest is bring the paw back to Senai Thunderheart in Splintertree Post)

You have to stand in front of Senani and right click on the quest item, if you already have it. A window will appear which asks if you want to accept the quest. Accept it. Then, a exclamation point will appear over his head. Click on him again and select the name of the quest and then click complete on the new window that appears. I would have turned it in sooner, but couldn't figure out how!

i killed it easy but when i wanted to loot it and get the paw, the loot window freezes and i have to exit the game via alt+f4..

the same i experienced with other 2 animals in the ashenvale hunt quest and is realy annoying

anyone else having this problem?

i found him quite easily.
just walk around on the area above the talon deep path and you'll find him.
i made the macro /target ursangous&nbsp and kept using it untill he was in range with my moves.
he's the only bear with the swirly thingy on his arm. haha. looks like a druid.
easy to find, as is to kill.

Upon turning in the Paw, Senani says:

Ah, the paw of Ursangous! Your skill is impressive, (class): he is credited with numerous kills. The crescent on his paw is no doubt a sign that he was trained by the night elves that skulk about Ashenvale. Ursangous is... was one of the mightiest bears you'd find in these parts. To have bested such a creature is a testament to your will and resolve.

The bear is found between The Zoram Strand and Astranaar, around 20,30 to the west of the road.

The Information above ist wrong.

Searched for hours for this bloody ... bear, and finally found him exactly between Astranaar and the "Mystralsee" (must bei something like Lake Mystral in English).

Exactly southeast of Astranaar this bear is lvl 25, and roams around with pretty lot of ashenvale bears.
