Ursangous (bear) - 41,65

These quests are non-traditional WOW quests. You have to click on Senani Thunderheart, at (73,61) at SplinterTree Post, in order to learn about each of the 3 creatures. Each one represents a unique quest. They will not register in your quest log. Once you have the paw, talon and head, return to Senani..

You have to stand in front of Senani and click on the quest item, if you already have it. A window will appear which asks if you want to accept the quest. Accept it. Then, a exclamation point will appear over his head. Click on him again and select the name of the quest and then click complete on the new window that appears. I would have turned it in sooner, but couldn't figure out how!

I was trying to find Shadumbra and saw someone killed him at 63.50. I went to 58.54, as stated above and waited for respawn.....wait wait wait no spawn went back to 63.50 and he was there. it seems that he spawn at 63.50 and paths to 58.54.

Saw him spawn at 58.54 too

Each of them drops an item which starts a quest, where the objective is to hand in to the dude @ splintertree. So its not permanent, they all have their own "quest".

Btw, if u kite Sharptalon to the guards, make sure u do about 50% of the dmg, else u wont get the kill and won't be able to loot the item ;)

I did this quest this afternoon, no problem at all, for 27-28 hunter with a well-trained pet. All three went down pretty easy - esp with the hippogryph, send your pet in to take the aggro and pepper him with everything in your spellbook. He's lvl 31, and came up as a pale red number for me, but i didn't take any damage at all. Enjoy!

You can pull sharptalon to the guards at the outpost easily with a voidwalker. I did this yesterday as a level 25 lock.

There are three goals the paw of the grey bear named ursangous, the the head of the cat named shadumbra and the claw of blue bird named sharptalon.

The bird is directly south of the splintertree post. The cat is near the raynewood retreat. The bear, ursangous, is near the splintertree path.

The quest starts and ends with Sheni Thunderheart. Three people send you to Sheni Thunderheart from Barrens, Ogrimar and Thunderbluff.

Surely that "level 20" is a typo? The enemies are level 25, 28, and 31... no way can a level 20 character handle this solo.

Shadumbra, for example, is completely immune to shadow damage--which means my warlock was helpless against her.

My hunter flew from Thunder Bluff to the Crossroads and then used cheetah form to reach the outpost and complete the previous quest. However, the new quest from Senani does not appear in my quest log. Now, when I speak with her, she asks about the three beasts, as if I accepted the quest, but there is no mark above her. What went wrong?

your placement of the goals is not completly accurate, the bear is not located near splintertree path, it is located near Talondeep path. in fact I found him Due north of where the name appears on the map he's lvl 25 and not that hard to defeat, course I'm currently lvl 27 :)

O.K. i checked with both the npcs at thunderbluff and in orgrimmar because i wasn't sure if i was on the quest yet or not,then went to splintertree post because neither or them would give me the quest and I went to senani and when I click on her she has the buble with "what can you tell me about...."

does this mean I'm doing the quest or not? when I click on the bubbles there's no "accept quest" button.Any help would be greatly appreciated,thnx.

had a friend kill the bird for me

cat pwned me (22 rogue twink) saw through stealth

does the bear wander around the lake of astranarr? i think i remember seein him there with my gnome, anyone confirm?

Recommend sitting up on the rocks at 42,67 or so since it gives you a clear view of everything around you for the bear. Ursangous looks like a druid bear form so pretty easy to spot. Level 25.

Shadumbra is level 28, I believe, and is located right next to Raynewood Retreat with the Laughing Sisters, so be careful since you'll have adds.

Sharptalon wanders south of the Splintertree Path, and there's also stealthed NEs there so best to watch out. Level 30.

this was a great quest..very easy to solo with my lvl 29 orc rouge. the cat and the bear were easy to find and pwn. was having trouble finding the hypogryph so turned in the first two and got like 5450 xp. after 2 hours of waiting for the hyp, decided i would log out but went to check once more and there she was, didn't have time to clear the other mobs so i had like three on me at once. ended up killing the hyp just as i died, ran back from graveyard and rezzed and she was still there. got my item and turned in the quest, received another 3050 xp and 2400 more when i picked up the cloak. all told got over 10000 xp and a cool cloak. need more quest like this!

Just so you know, this is not one of those quests that show up in your quest log, or that you have to accept. just go and kill the three monsters, and hand in the items that you get to the npc(I forget her name). really easy, and gives a good amount of xp.
