Description

The emerald... It is missing! My dreamcatcher has been damaged!

There is a band of Gnarlpine mystics located to the north of Starbreeze. I have heard reports that their leader, Ferocitas the Dream Eater has been wearing a necklace that glows green in the night. Now seeing my dreamcatcher, I am sure that he has stolen my emerald... He would never realize that its power is useless to him.

Find this missing jewel, <name>. And, while you're there, clear out some of the corrupted mystics as well.

Reason most people are having problems with this, is the jewel is INSIDE the necklace you receive from killing Ferocitas the Dream Eater. Read the info about this item..

I had quite a hard time to find the jewel until I realised that the jewel is the neckless. Just rightclick on it and there you go!

For all the people who say it won't drop. It's not THE emerald necklace that drops. It's the gnarlpine necklace. You have to right-click it to receive the emerald.

Very easy quest. Mystics and Ferocitas found around loc 67,53. To get the jewel <right click> on the necklace that drops from Ferocitas.

when you get the Quest Ferocitas the Dream Eater. Just move ahead to Stareeze Village, and keep going trugh the village to the edge of the map. after you done that. walk/run North on the radar untill you see Gnarlpine Camp. there you find Gnarlpine Mystic and Ferocitas the Dream Eater.

Did it solo, with my 11 Priestess (Bloodhoof) ...

Ferocitas was in the little camp near the Fire... BIG Blue guy, compared to the white and reddish brown folks...

Easiest way to do it, was to pull one at a time, then single pull Fero (if you can) ...

875XP was the gain as well as a greatly increase Rep with Darnassus.

He should drop the jewel every time, if you have the quest. Just be sure to Right Click it to extract the jewel. I thought I was missing it since I didn't see it in my journal until I looked at the necklace again and read what to do. :roll:

Ferocitas the Dream Eater is at /tloc 69,53. Once you get the necklace, you have to right-click it to get the jewel out of it.

Coord above are correct. You can solo this quest at a low level if you can kill Ferocitas fast enough, but be warned it's hard to pull him alone.

finished it as a level 9 rogue, not hard at all. took me a while to figure out that i actually had to open the necklace to get the jewel. i didnt even realized i looted the necklace from him so i killed him like 7 times. :P

I keep killing the Dream Eater, but I am not finding the jewel. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Do I need to go back and talk to the one that gave me the quest again, or what?

I did the quest, right clicked on the necklace and have the jewel. But what do I do with it now? It says it's soul bound...Tallonkai wouldn't take the jewel back. Does it just sit in my bank account, since I can't sell it or use it to make anything? Does anyone have any information for a newbie? Thanks a lot in advance.

The quest awarded 875 exp, very easy with a small level 8 party. Try not to pull the whole camp when you kill Ferocitas.

I found that these Gnarlpine spawn extremely quickly.

There is a chest behind Ferocitas which I wanted to loot, so I cleared out the Mystics around it. The problem was, I nearly couldn't loot the chest because of the incredibly fast respawn rate. Whenever I had killed the last one and wanted to get at the chest, the first one would already be back.

This respawn rate also made it somewhat harder to get at Ferocitas, as well.
