The quest still hasn't been fixed but I still managed to solo it (and left a ticked to terrible GM who didn't understand the problem first and when I explained in more detail I got auto-bot answer). Well here's how I did it with 22 blood elf rogue (green geared).

Stealth behind the guy and pick up key, then kill patrol that goes around the tower.

First Floor:
Distract, Garrote (use ambush if you're dagger rogue), 1CP Slice and Dice, SS spam till death, then sprint out (that's why you killed patrol). Repeat.
Second & Third Floor:
Kill them like any normal mobs of that lvl.
Boss (the fun part as a blood elf -.-):
Distract, Garrote (use ambush if dagger rogue), 1CP Slice and Dice, Evasion, 5CP Evi, Gouge, Potion, Vanish, Garrote, Gouge, Bandage, 5CP Evi and he dropped dead. Had Goldenmist Special Brew as a buff, Lesser Healing Potion as potion and Heavy Wool Bandage as bandage. Had 30 health left in end.

The fix is alot simpler than people have previously posted.&nbsp Just abandon the quest.&nbsp He will change from a grey ? to a yellow ! talk to him again.&nbsp He will do his think and change to a yellow ?.&nbsp

A GM and I figured this out after trying several other things including the things suggested by others

FYI, plain old Anti-Venom will also remove this poison.

Kinda silly they don't sell any Dust of Decay in Hillsbrad for horde. Only vendor I saw was in Southshore =/

Upon completion of this quest you will be able to make/use poisons. only problem is that the closest poison vendor is in UC for horde

yeah, i know youre supposed to get the posion quest from serge hinott but it has no yellow "!" over his head. When i try to talk to him he just tells me where to go for noob alchemy trainer. Is Serge where you start the quest? Or is it the guy next to him? Or possibly starting it is the guy who gives you wrenix the Wretched. My SN is Ralastian and my server is blood furnace. (BE)

what happens if a nice player in origimmar came by and cured me of the disease?

what happens if someone dispells it before you get to tarren mill?

I did the whole Q but my first mutated kill got bugged.. cleared tower up as instructed and i had the touch of zanzil which made killing the last syndrom EXTREME hard as a lv 20 rogue
however a tauren hunter kited the drome around until it died by dots :)

AS a rogue it's relatively easy to stealth around but a couple allies on the road had some stealth-interrupting things and I got two-shotted. getting there SUCKS, it'd be good to have a hearthstone back in org or something.

Heheheh he can't to anything about the smell hehe :=)!

I logged out just before reaching this guy, and didn't have the debuff. Hand in your quest, sit around for awhile, until he says "Whoops!" and moves back, and then you get to complete quest.
Guess if it bugs, just drop the quest and reaccept.

you wait for him to finish it.. this is the quest that lets rogues gain poison making ability

I am waiting to complete the cure for two days and NOTHING! if anyone can help plz write.

i had the same problem. logged out, debuff was gone, then i couldn't finish the quest. so i went back and abandoned the quest then reaccepted it. then i actually WAITED and watched him. he walked around a bit and then boom had the cure. so if you're having trouble getting him to finish the cure, try that.

i was looking through here, and was wondering if tehre was&nbsp apage anywhere on Thott that showed poisons, when they are learned etc..

This is not a quest you can easily do at level 20. But if you made it this far, you probably had help, and i can tell you, the easiest way to get to Tarren Mill is to accept the fact that this region is under constant attack by high level Alliance who love to raid here because it's easy to kill hoard who are 20 levels lower than you. So, with that as a given... you'll save a lot of time by allowing one of them to gank you right as you enter the area, then you'll wind up right where you need to be in the cemetary. Rez there, stay stealthed, find the flight master and check in, then go to Hinott.

What I don't know is if yer supposed to drink this potion right away or not. I did. Hope i was supposed to. ) Where's the poison training come in? We'll see. I'm high tailing it out of this madness!

After doing this quest, am I able to immediately go and learn poison making skills? It just doesnt seem relevant to learning to make poison.

but i don't remember if i had poison or something..

But, I can't use it because it says 'there is nothing to dispell'
so i judged it's useless

Check your spellbook for new icon. Hit the poison dealer in city (cities).

....oh and he gives you cure for Touch of Zanzil as well.

Go see Ezekiel Graves in Rogue's Quarter of UC, outer ring, 75.51, for poison supplies. If you have the cash, level up your poison skills now by making the Instant Posion. Max right now is 130 skill. I hit 130 in a just a few minutes making the one poison, Instant Poison, making 140 vials.

Yeah, soloed the chain this far and cannot say it was easy. The 'Possible but not probable' -quest was a real pain in the butt. If you want your poisons at lvl 20 get a friend around lvl 30 to help you.

This is the last part of the rogue poison quest. When this is competed, you'll gain the Poisons skill.

It doesn't matter if you've already been cured of the Zanzil poison, you can still complete this quest.

impossible to pick dudes pocket at lvl 20 or 21, he agros way before you can PP.

need someone to keep him busy while u do it.
