Description

After examining this charm, <name>, I see now what must be done. Please take it, and do as I ask.

You are to explore the deepest areas of the Ban'ethil Barrow Den. There, you will find my soulless body... Although I regret what I am about to tell you, I see no other way to free myself from the control of the Gnarlpine.

In order for me to escape them, you must kill my physical form. Once that is done, use the voodoo charm on my fallen body. After you have completed this task, please return to me.

he is in bear form&nbsp you have to kill rage claw the bear and then use the voodoo charm once he is dead

He's pretty easy to beat and it doesn't even matter if you are the one who kills him, you just have to use the charm on the corpse.

His spirit was walking around in a circle in human/druid form.&nbsp When I attacked, he changed into the bear form.&nbsp The first time I tried to use the claw on him, it didn't work (must not have been holding my mouth right).&nbsp 2nd time - VOILA!

I still shudder at the memory of the very first toon I did these quests with - if you're low level, you really need a group because the gnarlpines do respawn very quickly.&nbsp Plus the caves and paths all looked the same to me (heh heh).

This time with my rogue it was much easier and maybe because of more cave experience, not as confusing to get around.

I am lvl 14 now...and came back to finish this quest. No prob finding the druid bear, and killed him, used voodoo thing on him, but after the bar went to full, it said 'invalid target'.

Not sure what's up with that, but I hung around and killed him three times, did not loot, right clicked on voodoo thing, waited while the progress bar did it's thing. Same message "failed. Invalid target" Anyone else have this problem?

if u go to the deepest piece of there u will see him walking around in his normal shape but when u gonna fight him he change in bearform after u defeated him press backpack click ur right mouse button and he will do it automaticlly.

HE IS INSIDE THE CAVE with entrance at 43,57.
a)To get to him from the entrance you need to turn left on the first crossing.
Then you'll see 3 bridges, he's walking under them in the circle. Be aware of other mobs standing there, don't jump.
b)To get to him from the quest giver you should go forward and then turn right, so you'll be coming north, till you find those 3 bridges.

Also if you get the idea "Hey I'll attack him from this ledge so he can't get to me" sometimes it doesn't happen and he'll only evade all the attacks but I've had a couple of times where he's come after me and dragged a good half of the Gnarlpine population with him which being that low level will be your end very fast. The best place for the charm to drop is near the entrance, its the small corridor just inside the den with all the shamans, just camp there and you have the charm in under 5 min

Does anyone know why Rageclaw won't die?&nbsp I'm hitting him with everything I've got, but his life bar isn't moving.&nbsp Is there something I'm not doing, or is it just a game glitch?

By the time you get to this quest (meaning after getting the voodoo charm) it's easy as pie, and just an afterthought. Rageclaw is an average level 10 at best, and doesn't run away like most of the other mobs in the den. He's often in a crowded area, so if you don't have friends, be prepared to deal with more than one baddy.

I just killed Rageclaw....twice in fact. Tried to use the charm on him while he was both alive and dead and each time it failed. Not sure if the quest is temporarily broken or not...didn't have this problem before, but it sure is frustrating.

I killed him 3 times last night and it never let me use the claw on his body. I am going to try again tonight. I still have to find the 4 of the 3 items you are supposed to gather for the items of wakening quest, so going back in is not a complete waste.

I have done this quest three times with various night elf alts and it went fine. I have tried once as a Draenei and once as a dwarf and both times I got an error message "Not a valid target" when I clicked on the charm, got the blue hand and then clicked on the body. Does this only work for night elves?
