Kill 5 Elder Mountain Boars and return to Daryl the Youngling in the Farstrider Lodge within 12 minutes.

Description

<name>ath, is it? I can tell you're bursting with pride over completing the first test, hm? As I told you before, it's no large feat.

You should try your hand at boar hunting. Trust me, this is no Coldridge Valley boar hunt, so you'd best have a care with them. I'll give you just twelve minutes this time.

Don't feel bad if you fail. I'd give you the shirt off my back if you succeeded!

Have I ever related to you the story of how I received my famous scar? No? It was two years ago...

I did this quest as a level 17 hunter. Very easy at that level. Probably doable at 16. As a metric, I don't think the Elder boars are harder than the buzzard, so if you did the buzzards with a few minutes to spare, you can probably do this one.

15 might be pushing it, but I dunno.

Very easy, did it in five minutes on my 16 Hunter. Just avoid the other mobs and head north.

The quest is pretty easy to do. The boars are level 16-17. The only problem you might have is finding the boars in time. But if you're the only one doing the quest you will find plenty of boars quite easily. :)

Just watch out for other mobs that wander around as they could slow your progress down a lot, if you have to kill them too.
Simply avoid them. )

Pretty easy. Just run north. Go through the buzzards (they'll leave you alone once you get to the boars) and avoid the grizzilies. I found the boars north of the retreat at 75, 46. Killed five, mined some tin and handed in the quest with time to spare.

I failed this one, for one reason and one reason only. There happend to be three of us doing this quest at the same time. With three of us competing for kills, there just wasnt enough to go around. Of course, this is also the first weekend for the game, so its expected for there to be a lot of lvl 16-18's.

I will warn you right now, there are about 7 Elder Mountain Boars in the entire zone, assuming they are all up. If two people are trying to do this quest at the same time, it will be impossible to complete it. If some random person killed a few boars, it will be impossible to complete it. The 12 minute timer makes this quest quite possibly one of the worst designed quests in the entire game. The respawn timer for the boars is 30+ minutes so it is entirely possible you will accept this quest, go to where the boars are located and not see a single one before your quest fails due to the timer.

I found a LOT of these near 67,39 (a little bit south of the Mo'grosh Ogre encampments for those who don't have coords). I completed the quest with 5 minutes to spare.

Failed this quest because I got jumped by a wandering Horde guy...had just killed my last boar and poof, dead.

So, if you fail this quest, you are done? That would stink if that is the case.

I just did the first one where you killed the bazzards on my lvl 13 hunter. Nice upgrade from my rust covered blunderbus! :D

The next one looks a bit harder... I killed 2 then got chased by a bear while trying to kill the 3rd :(

Failed the first time, simply because i couldnt find enough of them in the time limit. Large number at 64, 40 area, can easily be done in under 5 minutes.

If your layer is filled with people this can be very hard. However a protip is that you don't need to go back and retake the quest, you can simply share it to a party member, they will receive a new timer and reset the quest, then they share it to you and you both have 12 minutes from wherever you are standing still. Clever use of game mechanics.
