The Touch of Zanzil

Bring Doc Mixilpixil one bundle of Simple Wildflowers, one Leaded Vial, one Bronze Tube, and one Spool of Light Chartreuse Silk Thread. The 'itis' doesn't cure itself, young < fella/lady>.
Simple Wildflowers
Leaded Vial
Bronze Tube
Spool of Light Chartreuse Silk Thread

Description

It's unanimous, <name>. You've got the 'itis.'

Luckily, I have a cure for the 'itis.'

Here's what I need: One bundle of simple wildflowers, one leaded vial, one bronze tube, and last but certainly not least, one spool of light chartreuse silk thread. Ol' Emma left a spool of it for me at 'The Finest Thread.' You can find the shop along the canals.

Hurry along now, <name>, and try not to touch anyone until you're cured. Oh, and Dr. Montgomery says you need a shower -- his words, not mine.

The merchants in this game have a limited stock on some items. The bronze tube is one of them. If it is sold out you will have to wait for it to respawn. Sorry but I don't know the respawn timer.

Spool is an object in "The Finest Threads" shop, which is in the Cathedral district along canal in Stormwind.

Need an engineer to make the bronze tube looks like, weak flux and two bronze bars.

Flowers were in "Flower Shop" on canal in Old Town.

The Spool of Light Chartreseue Silk Thread is found in the city of Stormwind in this shop:

"The Finest Thread"

Location:

Southern-most corner of Cathedral Square ALONG CANAL (so not 'in' Cathedral Square, but along canals just outside - press "m" for map and you'll find it easy!)

(some may assume this 'loot' is off a creature...it is NOT...it is on the floor of the shop, so just click it to loot it)

Simple Wildflowers- are sold by Bernard Gump in his shop, Fragrant Flowers, in Stormwind. (64,60)

Leaded Vial- This can be purchased from any Alchemy supply vendor, granted it will be in a stack of 5. Keep one and give the other four to an Alchemist friend.

Bronze Tube- can be made by engineers or is sold as a limited-supply item by virtually any Engineering Supply vendor in the game.

Spool of Light Chartreuse Silk Thread- This is not an item one buys, it is a lootable in a shop in Stormwind called "The Finest Thread". It is located on the floor of the shop near the counter on the left side. (39, 47)

Ok heres the locations for you without mods

Simple Wildflowers - theres a flower shop in the canals between old town and trade district.

Leaded vial - Buy from the Shady dealer located in SI:7 which is in old town

Bronze tube - I bought this on the auction house for 35 silver

Spool of Light Chartreuse Silk Thread - (this ones a little tricky to explain) It's in the Canals near the most western exit of catherdal square. One you enter the shop it should be sitting on the ground in front of the counter

As has been mentioned, you do not need to complete this, the tower quest grants you poisons.

For the people who abanadoned the tower quest, you're probably trying to re-get it at si:7. It is the stealthed woman by the tree who gives the actual quest for the tower, try going to her.

I used the normal First Aid Anti-Venom that you can make to get rid of the "Touch of Zanzil"

Its funny, becouse I used the anti-venom right away (didnt know there was a follow up quest regarding it) and wasnt poisoned the entire time the doctor was examining me.

Chartreuse thread is in the Cathedral District by the bridge to The Park. DONT go into the Park area itself where the Night Elves are.

I ended up just spending 17S to but the copper pipe from the AH.

... you can STILL have the doctor heal you.

It takes three tries for some.&nbsp I abandoned twice, and asked him to do it a third time - KEPT HIM SELECTED and typed "/lay" - that's it.

He walks over and talks to the statue and the squirrel and then done.

Then you can do the gathering quest shown above.

I personally logged out and logged back in a few hours later and found that the curse was gone, but I did the quest anyways for exp.

Simple Wildflowers: The shop is at (65, 59). Cost is 2 silver.

Leaded Vial: One of a few shops at (57, 64). Cost is 2 silver from Keldric Boucher.

Bronze Tube: Engineers make them. Materials are 2 Bronze Bars and 1 Weak Flux.

Spool of Light Chartreuse Silk Thread: This is an item that you have to pick up in the thread shop (39, 46). It's lying next to all the threads and materials and you can right-click it to get it.

I was told that you do not need to actually use the Eau de Mixilpixil in order to start training in poisions. I went to my rogue trainer after having gotten the cure and not knowing what to do with it since I was cured before ever getting it, and I was able to buy the Crippling Poison. So for those who received the cure from the Doc and were already cured beforehand, I would suggest going to the rogue trainer and seeing if you can get the Crippling Poison anyways. Then throw away the cure.

As already stated, I got my Bronze Tube off of the Gnome Engineer supply guy in Tinker Town. He's in a room ahead and to the right of the tunnel as you zone in from the Tram. It was on Page 2 of his supplies.

Rest of the components can be purchased in town as well, Lead Vial from the alchemest supplies by main gate, Flowers from the Floral shop (South-East side of trade district, entered from the Canal side), and the thread I got by clicking on one of the spools of thread on the floor of The Finest Thread shop near the Park.

The Finest Thread store is on the canal side of Cathedral Square, towark the park. The Flower shop is in the Trade District, canal side, toward Old Town. Leaded vial you can get at a lot of places, including the Shady Dealer upstairs from quest giver (he also sells Dust of Decay and Empty Vials that you need to make your first poison (check in your ability book under General if you haven't yet)).

The deal with the Bronze Tube is that engineers can make them (starting at 105 eng), but the engineering vendors *sometimes* sell them. They are one of those limited quantity items that aren't always there and in limited supply when they are. So you can check the gnome in dwarf town, if he doesnt have one, jump on the tram and check the engineering place in Tinker Town. If neither of those works, check AH.

All in all, I'd agree that this quest isn't worth doing unless you really just want to look around and have some hassles while you're at it. There are easier ways to earn 1150xp.

I cured my itis with first aid anti-venom. The first dose didn't work, but the second did.
