Speak with Wizzle Brassbolts in the Shimmering Flats.

Description

Have you met the Brassbolts brothers? They're over in the Shimmering Flats, in Kalimdor, racing their rocket car against the goblins. They usually win which is no surprise--the goblin car blows up so much it barely ever crosses the finish line!

But even then, the Brassbolts brothers are always looking for new ways to make their car go faster, and Wizzle told me he needs a very rare component for his next experiment.

He probably needs help getting that part. Speak to him and find out.

The person you get the quest from, Klockmort Spannerspan, is at 67,46 in Tinker Town in Iron Forge. He is right next to the room of the Journeyman Engineer Trainer.

This leads to a quest to head into Zul'Farrak. It also ends up netting you the Carrot on a Stick trinket.

You do not need to enter Gnomergan at all

all you need is to be honored with the exiles and be level 40

I'm a 45 Warrior and I've seen the ! above this guy's head for a few levels now. I think since 40. I have done all of Gnomeregan, but I highly doubt that that's the reason since there's people in my guild who have never stepped foot in Gnomeregan and still have their carrots.

The quest is turned in at 78,77 in Shimmering Flats.

I had never been at SF before, had done Gnomeragan a couple of times (dunno if that matters to get the quest), lvl 32 warlock by the way.

I Don't know why everyone is talking about going through gnomeragen completly....cause im a lvl 45 warrior who has never gone to gnomeragen & i could get it at lvl 40 hope this makes more sense

400 xp is so useless at the level you get this quest at. SKIP IT! It's not a prereq for the second part of this quest. just go to 77,77 in the shimmering flats and get the worthwhile part of the quest!

W/my lvl 46 Lock, nvr ran gnomer, nvr been to shimmering flats, Tailor/skinner. I had no problems getting the quest from him.....Sry

for answering you questions guys get on the generale chat and say that you are paying one gold to anyone that is willing to share the quest! this way you wont to get tru all of those stupid poinless quests !im in suramar and if any of you want it ill share for free just pst(Cmoisti)im a 50rogue and very reg player should be easy to find me! There musn't be many quest requirements because I am lvl41 Night Elf Druid, never did any pre-quest nor Gnomeregan (yes, believe it, I never entered Gnomeregan) and got the quest with no problem.
