Bring the Tiara of the Deep to Tabetha in Dustwallow Marsh.

Description

Long ago I possessed a beautiful piece of jewelry, the Tiara of the Deep. And not only was it pretty--it held great power for those with the knowledge to use it.

So when word of the tiara reached the Hydromancer Velratha, she had to have it. She sent agents to my home and they stole it while I was away. The thieves!

I want my tiara back! Go to Zul'Farrak, the troll city in Tanaris, find Velratha and wrench the tiara from her. Return it to me and you'll earn my favor.

There has been some confusion on where Tabetha is. Let me first say this:

Calm down, relax, and take a deep breath.

Okay. Now. It isn't that hard. First, take the path from Theramore. It is a long mount ride/run through the Marsh. Follow the path until just before the Barrens. Then run SE until you are North of the Stonemaul Ruins. The Ruins are SW of Theramore on the map.

Her house has a dock in front of it extending into the water. It is a one-story with a garden and haybales to the side. Go inside, and /cheer, because you've found her!

Now, for all you who love adds, and have coordinates... (46, 57) is standing right next to her.

If you do not have a coordinate system, which (46,57) is, I highly recommend installing Titan. It's not that hard, and most people can tell you how. Google.com- search "Titan".

Hydromancer Velratha is in the same room as Gahz'rilla. She patrols near the pool in the middle of the room. Take out the other patrols first as they pass the south end of the pool. Once they are all gone, clear the static mobs down one side of the room, working your way north to the area Velratha patrols.

Velratha is not much more difficult than the other magic users in Zul'Farrak. Her only edge is the ability to use a totem called "Wrath of Zum'rah" which summons skeletons. You can counter this by assigning someone with fast attack speed to watch for totems, and have them attack the totem as soon as it appears. However, it is possible to do enough damage to Velratha that she will wind up focusing on healing herself, thus never casting the totem.

BTW druids, shamans, rogues and hunters should not pass up this quest even though the rewards are useless to them. You get both of the items and 65s. Selling both items should yield well over 2g, bringing the monetary reward close to 3g.

She is by the large pool where you gong for the 8 headed hydra.&nbsp Shes drops this and the 2nd tablet.

Others might have noticed that this takes place in "Dustwallow marsh" and not in the Swamp of Sorrows. I on the otherhand spent 15 minutes running around 4557 in the swamp of sorrows (which isn't really that interesting) trying to find her.

Just wanted to emphasize the "Dustwallow marsh part..

If it all goes wrong when pulling Velratha (or any mobs in this part of ZF) your party can jump into the pool and swim down into the deep end. Eventually they'll lose interest and you can heal up and try again.

Another spell of note that Velratha casts is Shadow Bolt Volley - it hit me as a lvl49 mage for around 400hp so try to have a mage or shaman or whatever counterspell/interrupt it. I didn't see whether or not the volley was directed at myself only or the party as a whole, sorry.

Not as hard as it looks...

Run along the road from Theramore (blink, sprint whatever saves time) until you get to a sign that says "Beware Dragonmaw" or something similar.

Look at your map - see bite indent on island. This will be directly East in a straight line. If you are a mage use blink and frost nova until you get there. I did this first time as a lvl 32 Mage with no problem. If you die you are probably close enough to rez inside or next to the house. (Keep going if you find a small tent - it's very close)

Hearth or Teleport out.

You'll find Velratha walking around the fountain/pool where Mahz'rilla comes out. She's a level 45 elite plus there are a LOT of other elites and non-elites nearby so, you'll need a group with you.
I couldn't use either item since I'm a warrior. But, I got over 2 gold for the wand so that was pretty cool. :)

I did this quest at level 50, it was green to me and I got 6050 xp. I can only imagine how much I would have got if I did it earlier. Also, I didn't notice but you get BOTH rewards. About 2.6g for the items at vendors.

Once I got the drop in ZF, I was able to return in for 6050 cp, no rep.... but the items arent for warlock.. simply sell for a nice bundle. Tabatha is in Dustwallow March, cosmos 46, 57... Area is the Quagmire. Again, on your map, you'll see the Big Backwards C island, North of Stonemaul... She is dead middle of that island. Theres a shabby looking shack with a fence and lights around it. As a high lvl warlock, you should have been here before to turn in quest. Mobs in this area are lvl 38 - 45. You can get there solo.

Mob is around where Gahz'rilla spawns. If your not sure where Gahz'rilla is, it's by the rectangle Pool/Water thingy is.

According ot the prereq of this quest, "You will find Tabetha's cottage west of Theramore, and just north of the Stonemaul Ruin."

When looking at your map, it is directly north of the E in StonEmaul, in the Quagmire

I did it at lv.51 Rogue, just go stealth all the way till you find Velratha lv. 46 elite, she is walking around the pool where Gahz'rilla is... Easy, wait till the moobs around her get farther and hit her, bring the fight to the pool border and there ya Go... no moobs getting involve...
