Ormer's Revenge

Ormer Ironbraid at the Whelgar Excavation Site wants you to kill 10 Mottled Screechers and 10 Mottled Raptors.

Description

The situation is severe, that much is for sure. When we uncovered these bones it attracted the Raptors. These filthy beasts killed my brethren and trapped me, Merrin and the poor Prospector up here.

Help clear the Wetlands of these Raptors, <name>. Mottled Raptors and Mottled Screechers are just West of the bluff there. Kill 10 of each, if you can.

That will be a good start to the vengeance I have planned for them.

nice exp , nice chunk of reps and for a skinner (29-31) ~ all mobs +point skillable. Quest took about 1.5 Hrs solo. Very easy

The screechers are in large groups in the swamp so you have to pull them. Also, try to get them away from other raptors because at 1/2 health they will screech for help.

I did it lv 24 mage on own in about 5 min...

As u leave site turn left n follow moutain till you see then just kill them 1 by 1 by draging them out... Not sure bout other classes guess any class that can long range them has advantage of not having 2 fite 3/4 on their own

you will find the raptors here at 29, 46. the easiest way i got there was after i accepted the quest, looking out from the cave, head west(left) and climb and fall
from the wooden planks then you will see some raptors, you can fight them(they are in the mid 20's) and just keep staying to the west side until you get closer to the coordinates. side note, the raptors that you have to kill for this quest are in the lvl 24 range.

Did the other quest that goes with this solo (get the 4 artifacts) then did these 3 joined quests with another lvl 26, was very easy and took maybe 20 mins for the 3, easy 6k+ xp.

But do what i didn't do lol, get this quest and "reclaiming the past" (i think thats wat its called) then go back out and head towards menethil and kill the 10 screechers and the other 10, go back and hand in and then do "ormer's revenge" with "Reclaiming the past". Saves time, i had both the quests at the same time but didnt read up on here before.

Found a good amount of screechers at 26,48 and 22,49 . I found the other type of raptors inbetween those two places.

Watch the screechers as they normally attack in groups of three. Also, they will call for help from nearby raptors so make sure if there are any around you kill them. I had no problem with this but mid 2's might want to be careful.

There are plenty of raptors, but it's kind of annoying waiting for the ~2-3 screechers around 30.43 to respawn. If you carry on a little further (back towards the harbour) there's a bigger nest that's chock full of screechers. Cosmo 23.55. Much less tedious!

Yeah, pull the screechers. As a hunter, I'd stay my pet, sneak up, set a trap and then fire into one of them then back track past my trap and spring my pet.

Totally easy as long as you don't let your pet go first. If you do, it'll turn into a mob and you'll be fighting 3-4 Screechers and another Raptor for good measure.
