Description

It was horrible! We were uncovering some rare artifacts and we began to discover these large bones.

Before we knew what was happening, these Mottled Raptors overwhelmed the dig site. Many lives were lost.

Ormer here -- so brave -- saved the Prospector and me. He defended us as we ran for shelter. Now we are trapped. And our hard work lies in ruin.

Here, take this note back to my sweet Tarrel. It will explain the situation to him.

Merrin,

I just delivered your plea for help to your husband. His reaction was less than enthusiastic. Despite the fact that he's about less than a mile from where you are being forced to live out your existence in a cave surrounded by hungry reptiles, he doesn't seem to be moving rapidly to your rescue. You may want to have a back-up plan.

Merrin Rockweaver is in a cave at 38, 52. The excavation site is filled with 26-27 raptors, so try not to attract their attention- you need to go up the hill on the left side.

Tarrel Rockweaver can be found at 11,52. That's on the bridge just outside of Menethil Harbor.

Ok, just go left when you enter site and head up the hill.&nbsp I had only one raptor lvl 22 to deal with.

there are a lot more raptors now, and they are lvls 25-27.

I couldn't even find the girl, is she a spawn?

I speak to the woman and get the letter but it doesn't appear in my backpack or any of my bags - is there a bug?

I've tried abandoning the quest and getting it again to no avail...

Plan on enough time to undertake "Uncovering the Past," too: the questgiver is Prospector Whelger, and he's in the same cave where you deliver the message to Merren. The quest involves four objects which don't spawn all that often, so it may take you a couple of visits to find them all, but if you around lvl 30 the monsters will give you little or no trouble.
