Proof of Deed

Take Margol's Gigantic Horn to Curator Thorius in Ironforge.
Margol's Gigantic Horn
Provided Item:
Margol's Gigantic Horn

Description

You expect me to believe a story like that? The real horn would have had my broken axe head still lodged into its surface.

Listen, take that obvious fake to Curator Thorius in Ironforge. If he can validate your claim, you will receive a proof of deed. Bring that proof back to me and I'll give you the key to the Searing Gorge.

You get the key, and can use the inn in Loch Modan and use the key to get in SG, since Thorium Point provides no point for faster rest gain.

1. Kill the elite
2. Get to the mountaneer
3. go to the curator
4. he is going to set up an altar with the horn in hall of explorers
5. talk to him again.
6. get back and get your key.

Searing Gorge giving me a key just means that Searing Gorge loves me. We will be together forever!

[[Be sure to wait around after you give the guy in the Hall of Explorers the horn. He has to bang his hands on the ground and create a display case before he will let you go back to Piddlepumper or whatever her name was]]

Had the same problem and sent help request to GM.&nbsp The reply I got back says that he's bugged and needed to be reset.&nbsp So let them know and they can fix pretty quick!

these quests in total give about 15k experience. so, so worth it, for all you nonbelievers. it's really easy too. soloed Margol at 48 (warlock, though)

I thought this quest was well worth it. I'm certainly no l33t (I usually find that I can't complete&nbsp the quests at the levels suggested), but I soloed Margath&nbsp as a 46 warrior. Quest and world dropped kit (although I was using a nice pigsticker (bonechewer)) and potion buffs.

Quick quest, and I netted over 15K (inc the kill) XP!

The key that is the reward for this quest is the one that lets you open the gate between Searing Gorge and Lock Modan. I'm not sure why this is even&nbsp really useful given there's a gryphon point in Searing Gorge that goes directly to Iron Forge and the key takes up a slot in your inventory.

What are the coords for the Gryphon point in Searing Gorge?

I just soloed him at 48 with my druid (balance spec)&nbsp make sure that you use arcane spells on him, as he's immune to Nature spells.&nbsp Found that out the hard way.

Curator Thorius can be found in Hall of Explorers in Ironforge. I found him at 71,16 though he's not stationary and roams the East and West wings of the Hall. I have also submitted a few screen shots for approval.

While a Searing Gorge key isn't important like it used to be (and hasn't been for a long time) this quest chain was easily solo'd by a lvl 43 Hunter with the hardest part being Margol (lvl 48 Elite). My pet "almost" died, but I was fine. Quest chain awards excellent XP for those lvl 43-45, so it's worth doing in my opinion.

Cheers,
Irik and Snowfang

He is located in Iron Forge in the Hall of Explorers the Library part. He paces between cords(78.29 and 64.4) or from the center of the Library to the Northwestern corner and NortheEastern.

guys this quest is completely pointless except for the exp becuase there is a path to searing gorge from redridge mountains that u dont need a key or anything u can just walk in. Its in the north mountains near where all the blackrock orcs are

you dont need lvl 48 and alliance can do that!

first go to SearingG through the badlands. Kill the elite beast there and it's thorn starts the quest (vide pre-quest). The beast is lvl 48 elite - I've soloed it at lvl 46 with my druid.
