Description

As you touch the gem, a deep voice resonates in your mind.

"Mortal, heed this plea. I am Eranikus of the Green Dragonflight, keeper of this accursed temple. My charge to ensure that the trolls never again bring forth their abomination of a god has for now ended in failure. As I imbue this gem with part of my essence, I sense my grip on the Dream twisting into chaos. Please - place this gem into the essence font in my lair, and let our magic there purge the taint from my psyche so that I may rest."

If you don't want to keep this trinket, you can continue on with a Quest chain and turn it in to Itharius (in a cave in the western side of Swamp of Sorrows)

Really quick quest, descent XP. Kill the guy, loot the corpse, put the essence in the bowl in the left corner. Instant extra XP. Make sure everyone loots Eranikus.

This chain leads indirectly to the AQ event where you are forced to tank Eranikus while he is cleansed, then burn him down to 20% to finish the event.

I did this at 53 with a group of similarly leveled people (lowest was 51, highest was 55. Three fought the shade, the other two healed). Is there a minimum level to get this? Or can anyone in a group that kills the shade get the trinket. It's good against groups of mobs and especially good in PvP vs. rogues.

Too bad the trinket doesn't do anything but send you a whisper from the dragon.


Except that it also poisons your target for like 45 seconds.... which is essention when fighing a rogue since it cripples their Vanish and Stealth ablity.

Umm... i kind of sold it and want to give it to Itharius . Can i get it again ? Lots of quests can be retryed after you lose the item but im scared i cant with this one . Any ideas ?

I dont recommend to finish the quest. Just stay with the trinket. I did it with my Rogue main and I ended giving the trinket to a guy in Whinterspring for no rewards at all....
