Description

This scroll is from that scheming dryad Rynthariel, Keymaster of the Talon Den on Stonetalon Peak.

She'll not be making any more contact with the messenger you looted this from, heh, but we must stand our ground here. The Horde will not tolerate her outrunners here.

<name>, travel to the Talon Den. Kill Rynthariel, and then put up a symbol for all to see. Take this Horde flag, <name>. Put it up in the Talon Den so that they will not be so rash as to send another messenger through our territory again.

Kadrak is on the 2nd floor of the (RIGHT) guard tower just before you pass through the gates that lead from the Barrens into Ashenvale. You have to climb up the tower on the right to find him. You can even see the "?" from the ground if you look up at the tower. Good luck.

Really strange quest.

First off, it doesn't say where to turn it in to (the same person who gave it to you, but still!)

Secondly, the flag has nothing to do with the quest. It is totally unnecessary.

Third, While there is no indication from the questgiver, quest text or quest level, the mob you have to kill is, in fact, an elite.

Finally, well, it's not that hard despite this weirdness.

The Coords are 29.14 in the furthest north west part of Stonetalon Mountains. The keymaster is at the end of the first hallway before you enter a large atrium, so she is impossible to miss.

You can place the flag any where in the den to complete the quest make sure you kill the keymaster she is on the first landing after you exit the entrance tunnel.

The quest doesn't say it anywhere, but after finishing the objectives you turn it in at Kadrak, the orc at the Barrens-Ashenvale border whom you gave the Runed Scroll to.

The information above is valid. But keep one thing in mind if you're not too fast on killing: she tries to run at about 20%.

Evidently, this isn't much of a concern to anyone who has no choice but to barge in, but rogues & druids: clear your way in there and pull her back far enough from other mobs.

32 druid, I wasn't really trying my best to kill her. I didn't have to pop into normal shape to heal with her alone, but that lack of attention was crucial: she ran away and aggroed nearly the whole room next to her. I didn't bother clearing the area before, so needless to say, I died.

When I did this quest, I killed the keymaster and then left, forgetting to raise kadrak's flag. I completed the quest without doing so. If you either forget to raise the flag or can't find where to do so, don't worry you can turn in the quest without it!

I saw a rogue with these boots in 10-19 WSG, so i knew i had to have them.&nbsp The scroll you get from teh barrens is lvl 15 to start and Horde Pressence I got once i turned it in, at 15. Used my roomates account and got Trailblazer Boots at lvl 15 alone with Talbar Mantle.

EDIT: Yes like someone said before these are the BEST 19 rogue twink boots.
Feet of the lynx:&nbsp 8 agil , 3 str
Trailblazer boots:&nbsp 7 agil, 3 stam

3 str 1 agil < 3 stam

Also if you are going pure Stam the Fishing boots from STV have 12 stam.

If you dont have the cash to buy feet of the linx, these are the best. Even if you do, these are better in the fact that you give up 1 agil 3 str for 3 stam, and stamina is alot more valuable in the twink brackets than str.

I didn't check the map here and ended up running the path from Stonetalon to Ashenvale. This is not the right place, you need to travel to the northern most area of Stonetalon, then head west to the cave.

Are you guys kidding. I just soloed this as a 29 warrior. You can pull all the caregivers at the beginning one by one. I ran into Rythariel on the first bridge inside. I was done with this quest in under 10 minutes.

I had put the flag in my bank because I didn't want to carry it around, then forgot about it. I was up in stonetalon mining and remembered I had this quest, went in and killed Rynthariel, and then went to turn in the quest. Only remembered about the flag when I was about to turn in the quest, and it let me turn it in anyway. Is there a point to the flag at all? You apparently don't have to actually put it up to finish the quest.
