Washed Ashore

Recover Sea Creature Bones from the beached sea creature just south of Auberdine, and then return with it to Gwennyth Bly'Leggonde in Auberdine.

Description

Majestic sea creatures are known to launch themselves at the Darkshore coastline, beached there until they die. Lately, these beasts have been washing ashore in ever-increasing numbers. I've been sent here by the Temple of the Moon to investigate, but the presence of murlocs along the water has made my research difficult.

There is a giant creature washed ashore just south of Auberdine that is ringed by the foul Greymist murlocs. Could you go there and retrieve bones from the creature for our study?

Okay, I dont know how some of these people completed this quest with the cords. they gave but the truth is...

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Travel to AUBRDINE
2. Travel to the beach
3. Travel south along he beach

RESULT:
The beached SEA CREATURE is at CORDS ( 36 , 50 )

All the confusion and bickering aren't necessary and neither are coordinates. Don't be so dependent on those things.

Part 1: Go down to the beach and hang a left and run along the shore and you'll run right into the dead sea creature.

Part 2: Run out to the end of the dock. It's shaped like a "T". Take a left at the end and you can SEE the damned turtle from the dock.

Some things in this game are complicated and require coordinates, but this isn't one of them. Just LOOK for something for once and you'll find it.

Could loot at the middle between its dorsal fin and neck ( assume you can by the fins on his belly as well)

This quest wasn't to hard. The creature is located on the beach just south of town. There are 4 or 5 Murlocks guarding the Sea Creature so you will need to pick them off one at a time or bring some help.

To receive the bones select the sea creature and your mouse curser will turn into a cog.

Turn in the bones for exp.

The dead beast on the shore with the group of Greymist Creatures around it, near Auberdine is the right one for the first part (Loc 36, 49). You must click by his legs to get the bones.

The turtle near the dock to Menithil (by the sunken ship - Loc 31, 46) is the right creature for the second part. You must click the head to get it!

There are 2 parts of this quest and these are the right beasts:
in part one, there is a beached dino look-a-like, easy to find. Part two is about a 'drowned' sea turtle, walk on the harbor, take the left to menethil and jump in the water there...
NOTE: South, there is another turtle on land, 'Beached Sea Turtle', you dont need it for one of these quests, but you can use it after these quests

it is very tricky becuzz there are 3 monsters south of her. just walk along the water or in the edge of the water and after like 30secs there should be a small monster.... if u get to the sea turtle u have gone to far!

Guys, Read the quest!
The first part says SOUTH of Auberdine. This is the Dinosaur looking carcass that has some mulocs around it.
The second part says WEST, near a sunken ship, which is the ship just off the dock that takes you to Menethil.

the first one is south of auberdine.... its really close.... like 30 sec... less..... it a huge dinosuar... thing... u will see the thing pop up when ur mouse hovers on it.... just run around until u see&nbsp it turn gold

note... this is for the first one....not the second one

the very first quest you get from her go south along the beach until you see the murlocs. Kill them and collect the sample. turn that in,

and she'll give you another quest. go down the dock/pier take a left at the intersection and fall into the water. swim west. the sea creature is under water should be some mobs that look like loch ness down there by it. kill them get the parts and turn in the quest to her.

now you can get any other sea creature parts along the coast you havent given to her before.

the murlocs weren't too hard, but i couldn't select the sea creature nor did it give me the cog when i moused over it. is it broke now?

edit.. nevermind. there are 2 sea creatures on the beach just south of town, i was at the wrong one. the correct one looks like a dinosaur the wrong one looks like a giant sea turtle.

Ok, to clear op the confusion. There are two quests named 'Washed Ashore'. The first one wants you to find a dinosaur looking beast on the beach, with coordinates 36,50. The followup quest is finding a turtle underwater at 31,46.

If you're NOT questing for the sea turtle remains on the SHORE, and INSTEAD you're looking for the sea turtle remains that are UNDERWATER near a SUNKEN SHIP you should either read the other listing for this quest, or ...

When you get the quest, go to the southernmost corner facing the sea of the platform on which you're standing (the Hippogriff platform).

See that little island with the tree on it in the distance? The sunken ship and remains you're looking for are underwater near that island, in almost a direct line from where you're standing. The other post mentions that you can see the ship underwater if you stand at the edge of the leftmost (southernmost) ship dock and look in the water.

Good luck! This quest had me hunting for two days. Finally, another player had to show me the way. Thanks, Stabitha, wherever you are!

The murlocs can be nasty in great numbers, so be careful approaching the carcass. Often, there are one or two murlocs on the other side that you can't see, and they'll aggro when you start "opening" the carcass to acquire the bones.

To complete the quest you need to locate A Corpse of Sea Creature and loot [item=12242].
Pretty easy to find this one, jump down and make your way along the shore to the south.
In a minute or less you'll see a big corpse of sea creature guarded by some murlocs. Loot the bones and bring them back to guest giver.
