Description

We are still at war and the Scarlet Crusade grows in strength. The report Executor Arren sent me indicates Scarlet Crusaders have been raiding from the ruined tower in southeastern Tirisfal near the Balnir Farmstead under the command of Captain Vachon.

Kill Vachon along with 5 Scarlet Friars. It should prove to be a devastating blow to the Crusade!

Captain Vachon is inside a tower called Crusader Outpost, which is located at cords 78,56.

The scarlet Friars are scattered throughout this area.

This is a very difficult quest to solo, there are many little forest nasties out to get you and the tower is nicely out of easy reach.

I just completed this as a solo lvl11 priest was verey difficult died a few times then i rembered a reward i got from another quest slumber sands, i put the cazptain to sleep killed friar run out of aggro range drink/food went back and did captain who was alone.

be adviced the captain has a friar with him which can be a HUGE pain in the ass, especially for a lvl 11 rogue. if you kill the friar you wont have enough hp to kill the captain. if you focus on the captain the friar will heal him. my strategy is to sap the friar get the captain down as much as possible, burn a health pot and when the friar wakes up and starts to heal the captain, gouge him and finish the captain off. dont bother killing the friar as you get credit for killing the captain as soon as the death blow is delievered. hope this helped my fellow rogues

ok.. the person who posted probably dosent know anything about mages..
I am an lvl 10 mage and soloed it..
So.. go at tower clear everything around.. go on the tower ramp.. sheep the guy which is staying near tyhe captain .. frostbolt the captain and then use arcane missiles&nbsp . Atention he is resisting alot to fire..so dont use..
Then when the sheeped guy is comming just ignore him and kill the captain.. when dead just run.. bcause youll not have enough health.
by the way i WASNT useing any potions.. good luck
was very easy..

Head directly east of Brill for about 2 mins and will eplore the scarlet post or sumthing like it.

Idid it at lvl 10 as a rogue. I stealthed to the tower, when i got there the captain wasnt there, i think he has a super long respawn rate. i waited on thos wood plank (stealthed).&nbsp he spawned pretty soon, i sapped the captain, killed the friar. bandage. BS the captain, from the an easy kill, when he runs get ready to use sprint, cause he might attract major aggro.

I went up to stand on the stairs and plan my battle as the cap'n and his lil cohort spawned and was staring at them, then the captain suddenly seemed to blink next to me and attack. This would have sucked, except the friar stayed below, so i got the chance to 1 on 1 his buns. Whupped his hienie as a lvl 11 priest...and btw....shield bash? I laugh at thee! Power word: shield, numbnuts.

I was lvl 10 Mage soloing this.&nbsp I sheeped his add, and as he ran out, he pulled 2 more adds that had just respawned (high respawn outside so kill fast).&nbsp I killed him, the 2 adds, plus the sheep taking maybe 50 damage total. Frost Nova + Ice Bolt + Arcane Missiles, rinse & repeat FTW.&nbsp btw bring a potion and have a scroll handy if you feel like being in a hurry, otherwise its a super easy quest

The location is due east of Undercity's zeppelin landing.&nbsp It's on a plateau just NE of Balnir Farmstead.

Re. other comments: Solo'd as a level 1 gnome on my flying mount, blah blah blah.

You can find find these at Crusader Outpost near Balnir Farmstead. Go right from Undercity on your map and go up an unmarked path, go about halfway up and turn right and you will be at Crusader Outpost.

Ok, this was pretty much impossible for me to do it the normal way with my level 10 priest, especially when i ran out of the sleeping powder. Anyway, as i ran out of it, i started looking around for kiting possibilites, and guess what, i tested running up, and hopping down from the left wall which actually worked! Success! :)

I agree with Humlaar, the location is /tloc 79,55 I did this quest as a level 12 undead mage. Sheeped the friar that was guarding Vachon, got half of his life gone, and a crusader zealot started attacking me. I died once. Went back in, killed around him, sheeped the friar, killed him, got down to about 10% life for myself, froze them all in place. took off bookin it and healed myself, went back in and killed the rest of the friars, then hearthed back to brill.! hope this helps.

My result........850 experience, 3 silver 50 copper and 100 reputation gained with the undercity

i defeated the scarlet friars and captain vachon by sneaking and killing them and running away and then attacking them one by one. I died many times till I got it, good luck

Did this as a lvl 10 mage. If you sheep 1, kill the other, then kill the first it's easy.
Also it's best/easiest to approach from the mountain-side of the tower... (only 2 / 3 enemies, not a whole field full of them)

I reccomend if you have sleeping dust, and youre soli'ing, use it on the guy guarding Vachon. it makes things 10 times easier to do. lvl 12 warlock. and the chords are alittle off, but relatively right.

Lvl 11 rogue solo. Coordinates are dead on. Go in from the back mountain side (west to east). Sapped friar and took out groups one at a time. Only had the Friar and Vachon. Sapped Friar took on Vachon. When friar woke, I switched target back to him and gouged him, then continued to work on Vachon. Took 15 minutes total.

This quest continues, and takes place in the "Crusader Outpost" tower. From Undercity, head east until you see the road split to the left, towards the Balnir Farmstead, head north on the road for the farmstead and you will see the tower just past on the ridge. Captain Vachon is inside, with one NPC guard, (Friar or other). If you have a UI, the location for this tower is: 79,55.

This isn't bad at all... even if you are a lower level, u can do it well if you take ur time and lure the "Zealot's" out so u don't get stuck with additional aggro's. Be patient though... the first time u enter the tower there is only a zealot... once you kill him/her run back outside of the tower and wait a moment... then the Captain will appear back inside, careful though because he will have a guard with him.

I used one healing potion, and died once when I got swarmed, but other than that it was no problem.&nbsp Just need to be careful picking off the humans one or two at a time.

I wouldn't say it was EASY, but it wasn't too hard either.

I love to read the "I JUST SOLOED THIS AT LVL BLAH!"&nbsp comments cause its like people are bragging... except no one knows who they are.&nbsp lol.

well, I saw this one with alot of people talking about their strategy and what lvl and someone said that casters couldn't do this.

I just soloed as a lvl 8 warlock.&nbsp and it wasn't even hard.
