The last part of the Scarlet Crusade quest. This particular tower is located up near Scarlet Monestary.. Take the road east from Undercity, to the little dirt path that splits off on your left. Follow the path up like you are going to Scarlet Monestary.

Just before you get to the monestary, the path splits, and there is a sign to the left towards this tower. The path is guarded by NPC's all the way up to the tower itself, where the Captain is guarded by two "Scarlet Bodyguards" (level 8), and the Captain himself Level 12. Its a bit tough to solo at 12 cause the bodyguards can deal some damage.

If you have a UI, the location for the tower is: 79,26.

Hope that helps!

Just soloed this at 12 with my mage. First I sheeped one of his guards and then used the slumber sand I got from the quest A New Plague to sleep the other guard. After killing Melrache I ran out of aggro range of his 2 guards and then returned to kill them both with full health/mana.

Soloed as level 12 warrior.

Cleared what I would aggro on my way in, attacked with full rage, got the bodyguards down first, then bleeded and slowed the Captain as I ran up the stairs (still inside tower), jumped down, bandaged as he ran the long way around, and then took him out. Not too hard.

the 2 gaurds are lvl 8's at most. so they are no problem, but the captain is 12. so he's the problem, i soloed at 12, but im a rogue. theres no way to pull them out one at a time. but make sure you kill all the mobs on the outside so they wont come in, theres a couple pats as well. healing potions work nicely.

This fight is possible as a level 12 rogue. Sap one of his guards and use Slumber Sand on the other guard. Take down the captain, then the two guards as they awaken. Use Gouge often, it's useful for recovering energy or for using bandages.

You can do what Lyxia did and run up the stairs, then jump down and use a bandage as they run down the long way. Potions are also nice if you have them.

I made this Q as a lvl 11 mage too like up there ^.. and I just didnt die. I used "Slumber Sand" which I got as reward from a earlier quest... on 1 body guard, I poly'd the captain.. destroyed the last bodyguard, and then I Frost Nova'd the captain AND the bodyguard, and nuked the captain. he died, and I was oom, and went melee with a lvl 8.. ( easy as hell )

- Hope it helps... Sunstrider, Konsty

900 exp at lvl 13
+100 exp with UC

what I did was.. (lvl 13 priest)

I cleared the surroudings of all possible adds.

Went in with PW:S, PW:F and Inner Fire up.

Mind Blast/SW:P one of the guards, Smite, Wand hit him until he's down to 10% health.

Turned around and ran out. That guard died from SW:P while chasing, the other two gave up the chase after a few seconds.

Went back there and repeated the process on the second guard

Returned the last time to pick off the captain easily.

Make sure you do this quickly as the adds spawned soon after i killed the capt.

Easly done as a level 13 warlock, and considering how easy it was done, i think atleast a level 11 lock should be able to do it too, as long as you have the Voidwalker (and you should by that level. if not get moving!).

Just clear out all the mobs outside. then send the Voidwalker in to attack the captain, since he is the hardest hitter. Keep attacking the captain with everything you got untill he is dead, then take out the two guards.

at 13 i didn't need any extra healing for my minion, but at lower levels it might be usefull. since you don't get health funnel untill 12, picking up first aid, and using that on the minion should work great.

Fight your way up the road from the monastery. Remember to take the left fork from the monastery.

Clear all the mobs. On the outside terrace there are 2 guards and then 3 sets of patrols. If you do not clear them they will add to your pain when you fight the bodyguard.

Solo'ed as 12 mage:
1. Sheep one guard.
2. Slumber sand (quest reward) other guard.
3. Frost nova Captain
4. Nuked the captain.
5. Ran away from other guards.
6. Returned and killed guards without captain (sheeped one, killed other, then finished off sheep)

Stone back to Brill!

I did this quest when I was lv.12 undead rogue. First I killed the guards outside. Then I attacked the bodyguards first killed one and used my sprint ability (rogue ability). Then went in again and took out the bodyguard and then the captain. If you have GOUGE it would be a lot easier.

Soloed this as a 11 Priest today, wasn't hard at all, even without CC. Just threw up shield, focused on one guard, killed it, and ran. Did the same thing for other guard, then killed boss alone. Another easy way to solo this without CC is to use the Slumber Sand from a earlier quest in Brill, not sure of the name right now. It sleeps the target for 20 seconds.

ok this was by far the easiest quest ever. i solod it with my 12 Rogue. Kill all guards 1st. Then Stealth the right body guard (weak one) then head for the 2nd 1. And if your a Rogue im sure u allrdy know ur heath is longer lasting then ne other life bar. Then just kill the Boss (Quest man) w/e.

Soloed this one as a level 12 Undead Warlock with ease.

After you accept the quest in Brill, take the south exit. Make your first left until you come to the Skinning trainer and a sign for "Monestary". Follow that sign along the windy dirt road all the way up to the Scarlet Monestary avoiding or fighting the aggro Vampiric Duskbats and Ravenous Darkhounds along the way. When you finally make it up to SM, follow the path to the left all the way to the tower.

Keep in mind, on your way, there are some pretty hidden Scarlet warrior and mage class mobs so I kept my Voidwalker in DEF mode. There are a total of 7 mobs at the tower itself but the front 2 or 3 are easy to pull and take out 1 at a time.

Sent the Voidwalker head on into the tower to distract the 2 Bodyguards and the leader and then hit them all with Curse of Agony, Corruption & Immolate. Had to CTRL+1 a mob or two that I drew aggro on but I just let the DOT spells do their job, let the Voidwalker take all the damage and wanded them all to death.

900 XP and a boost to UC rep is your reward.

solo'd this as a lvl 11 warrior. Charged in at one guard, used Thunder Clap and rend. Then finished him off. Next, killed the other guard, using a potion when my hp got a little low. Used rend and hamstring on the captain, then ran outside and away a bit so I could bandage, then finished him off.

I am so PO'd right now! I've had 5 or 6 runs at this quest and gotten beaten every time by Scarlet whatevers all ganging up on me at the last minute (this may have been easy for some people, but I'm not a video game hot shot).

So today, I'm kicking around near the tower just killing things so I can level up and go back there with a few new tricks up my sleeve when I decide to give it another try. So I get up to the tower. All I have to deal with is Melrache and the bodyguards. I put Melrache to sleep. My voidwalker jumps on one bodyguard, and I'm about to target the other. My mana and h.p. are both fine.

Then everything froze.

Right at the worst possible time, I got disconnected from the server! AAAAAARGH!

Best way to get there is to head toward SM there's a fork in the road. Take the left fork. The path along the way is lined with lvls 9-11. They're easy to avoid or kill, whichever's your style. The captain himself has 2 bodyguards with him, as well as 3 patrollers and 4 other guards around the tower. Take out the outside guards and patrollers, then go for the captain and his guards. Get with a group if you can-- this one's hard.

I got the listed reward, 900 exp, and a "standard" increase to UC rep at lvl 12 (quest yellow).

Solo'd as a level 11 rogue.
Stealthed up the path and into the room with the Captain and his guards. A Friar patrols the tower and will come into the room as part of his route, be sure to kill him or wait for him to leave. I wasn't able to get close enough to sap anyone without the Captain detecting me so I hit the Captain with a slumber sand and took out both the guards at the same time. I had enough time to bandage before the Captain woke up and was able to take him down easily. The Friar came into the room soon after and I was forced to use evasion.

Best advice I can offer rogues is to pick up a pair of http://classicdb.ch/?item=2207
